Question Special Edition Behind the Mask?

Hey All--It's been some time since I've posted, but I had a question that I figured some of the good folks at the Ledge might have an answer for...

I was browsing at the phenomenal Amoeba record store in Hollywood last weekend and came across two copies of Behind the Mask that came in rather large (maybe 6" by 6") boxes. It said simply "Special Edition" and had the regular cover art (only a bit larger since the box is larger than the typical cd cover). They were only $10 bucks and I almost bought one but then thought I'd try to figure out if there was anything special about it first. Does anyone know if this it's just the cd inside the nice box/fancy packaging? Is there anything else "special" about this edition? It definitely caught my attention since it isn't often that I see something Fleetwood related that I have not seen before!

Many thanks for any info.

Erin

I bought it a long time ago in Europe and there was nothing 'special' about it. I have no idea about the USA copy though. The European box said:"Special Edition" too and I have played and played it but I didn't hear anything special. It was just a copy of the cd in a box (like you said).

Hi Erin. I bought a "special edition" copy back when the album came out. Aside from the box it came in, the cd itself had a design on it. If I remember correctly, it was a moss green color and it had one of those ugly masks on it. That was the only difference.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the info...sounds like it's probably not worth it. It might have been the European version, actually. I didn't check to see.

What's this about playing in the dvd player tommer?

Once again, the knowledge of Ledgies does not disappoint

Thanks,

Erin

Thanks,

it has this (VERY vintage) multimedia presentation that's playing throughout the entire album.

When BTM came out, the shrink wrap had a sticker that said something like, "enhanced graphics". I never got it to do anything though.
I guess I could try it now.........nah, I'd have to get up!
