I think it is ultimately about Lindsey.
I think the "haunted in your mirror" - is look what you lost ala Dreams..
"haunted" ala Silver Springs...to Lindsey. Haunted is like a punishment.
It's about her having to go on..without him in the band.
"and then there are the misunderstandings" etc......lol.

If that is true I don't ever want to know it. Since this is pre Tango, I don't know about the leaving the band reference. Nonetheless, it isn't worth it to me to split hairs over it. The idea of any song being written about Lindsey post Tusk makes me want to harf up my entire GI tract.

I am amazed still that Mirror, Mirror did not make to the Rock A Little album and only became a B side. I love the sound and lyrics of the song. Heck, there is not much by Stevie that I don't like.

I think the Official Site Owner was Stevie's greatest love. And why does the greatest love become the greatest pain?

I can finally admit to everyone now, that I'm Stevie's greatest love. We met right after the 'Dance' tour, and we were so deeply in love that we talked about spending the rest of our lives together. When she left me to go on the 'Enchanted' tour, it broke my heart so deeply that I swore off of women for good.

Stevie Nicks turned me gay, folks.

sometimes I wonder, spark, whether Rhiannon is about Lindsey. . .

that whole "bird in flight" thing seems to really describe Lindsey, plus the fact that his mom rutheda used to say to him "You are like a cat in the dark," & then sometimes his brother would add: "No, mom, but he is the darkness." I suspect that Lindsey figures prominently in Rhiannon as the Welsh mabinogion goddess of steeds & placer of bets & so forth.

Josh went up in a puff of smoke, and you are married enough to be considered straight. Sparky don't do dead ends except in jest.

And in jest is where I expect you to be my bride.

I am never to be considered "straight" ever in this universe or any of its atmospheric continuums.

I love you for your brain. Your mind. You.

And that can exist regardless of the fact that I am in a monogomous relationship of thirteen years.

JEEZ!! I ****ing love Amber and Jason and I've only met them one time.....

That would have to be in jest, cause I'll never be anybody's "bride."

Dude. Relax. In the real world, you don't know me at all.

Can't I crack a joke ?

I have a bunch of different takes of it--or have they already been mentioned in this thread? I think the instrument tracks are all the same but Stevie is just revocalizing from one to the other.
OI are you baggin shippers????????? why?

I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but the music to Mirror Mirror was inspired by the music in the film Risky Business - the scene with Tom Cruise and Rebecca Demornay (?) on the train together (getting dirty).

Also, when Stevie was watching Risky Business at her house with a bunch of friends, she supposedly called up a car dealer and ordered a rose/pink Porsche (like in the movie) sight unseen.

Well, it sounds like that lulling, narcotizing Tangerine Dream sound. (Tangerine Dream sounds to me as if it were influenced by the minimalist movement--John Adams' "Shaker Loops" & Steve Reich's "Variations for Winds, Strings & Keyboards," with their unrelenting pulse & endlessly repeated figures.) Who actually played or wrote (or programmed) the Mirror Mirror stuff? The producer? Christopher? Who was the producer?
