Default My brief St. Louis review

Hey guys! I wont bore you with the details of my trip (although we were upgraded to a 900 sq foot suite because they over-booked the Hyatt). The concert, however, was kick ass! We had 2nd row seats to the side, and there was major confusion with security, because our seat numbers didn't exist!! So, they shuffled us around like 3 different times and were very apologetic about moving us. Finally we ended up all the way to the side in folding chairs with obstructed views! Then, about 2 minutes before lights down, the security guy came over and told us there were 2 empty seats in the front row dead center, and that we could have them if we wanted. He said that even if someone came to claim them, we could just stand at the stage! So, basically, we were UPGRADED TO FRONT ROW DEAD CENTER!

This was my 13th time seeing Stevie in some shape, way, or form, and I gotta say, I have never seen her with this much energy! In fact, to quote my friend, “Is she having convulsions?!” LOLOL. The highlight of the night was not INSIDER or SDMHA but her tambourine craziness during Don’t Come Around Here No More. I seriously had flashbacks to ’76-’77 Stevie. It was incredible to watch her go absolutely nuts with the tambourine. She was definitely having a blast on stage and even mouthed to someone in the front row, “This is so much fun!” Plus, she acknowledged me with a wink and tambourine wave when she was grooving to DCAHNM. All in all, it was a fantastic show, and it was well worth the trip from Miami! She seriously needs to have this kind of energy during all of her performances.

Btw, I do have to thank Becky (wildinthewind) and her friend Christy for showing us around. We had so much fun!

man, now I'm totally depressed. I was supposed to go to this concert, but we were just going to get lawn seats. We live about 3 1/2 hours away and realized it was going to rain so decided not to go. I'm sick...just totally sick....

glad you had a good time tho!!

I felt that way watching the bonaroo live webcast- I can't imagine what it was like to watch that in person. Congratulations on all your upgrades- sounds like the gods were smiling on you!

Glad that both you and Becky had such a great time, Alex. First of all an upgrade at the hotel, then an upgrade at the venue to front row and then to top it all off a wink and tambo wave from Stevie! How lucky were you in St. Louis?
Let me guess you did not bring a camera in, right?

Can't wait for my show in Mansfield this Wednesday!

Hi Alex!

It was great to see you last night...I hope your girlfriend enjoyed the show! I couldn't agree with you more in regards to Stevie's energy level ~ what a fun show!

I am going to post a few of my photos from last night shortly. Overall, I am disappointed with them -- the lighting was so dark, but there are a few that are "viewable".

See you at the next show...whatever it may be!

Alicia

Aaaw, Alicia, I would have loved to have met you!

My trip was very last-minute, but SO worth it! I have to share this pic immediately! I'll post some more later....

Great to see you again, Alex! Yeah, all my tambo bashing pics during the strobe lights came out blurry. Stevie looked like a blonde Cousin It!

My usual disclaimer: If I see these on ebay or anywhere else in any way, shape or form, I'll kick your ass!

It was magical! Insider made me cry, it was sooo beautiful. When she hit that high note on "you've become his LEGacy...." I was done!

Full review from me and Bruce to come later, I really want him to write it...also, I thought Tom's version of Oh Well was better than any version I've witnessed. Yeah, I said it!

Thank you for posting your review.

I am so glad that Stevie is having this wonderful blast of a good time.
And that her energy level is so high.

Jaz,

In the teeny tiny pic w/ your name, I didn't realize that was SN's sleeve up by her mouth, and thought you had photo shoped a slice of pizza in there. W/ her mouth all "mmmm" like, it totally looked like Stevie & Pizza. Just a LMAO, it's way past my bedtime observation.
