Las Vegas Tryout Show - Wild Heart Tour

[David]

Stevie & her band allegedly played a Wild Heart Tour out-of-town tryout gig at a 7,500-seater in Las Vegas on May 27, 1983, about three days before they appeared at the US Fest in Southern California.

I guess it was more of a run-through for the US Fest than the actual tour, since some of the guys who played the festival didn't actually go on tour with her (Russ Kunkel, Bob Glaub, Bill Payne--although Payne played some shows with Stevie at the end of her tour that November).

But how come fans don't talk about this Vegas show at all? Nobody seems to have attended, or nobody lets on. Did the show actually occur? or is it one big urban Stevie myth, like the performance of "Sara" on the 1990 Fleetwood Mac tour?

It's weird that I've never heard anyone talk about having attended, I've never seen any photos from it, & never even heard secondhand information about it. Back then, I was pretty on top of things & this was totally off my radar. So what gives?
