No Sonics in the Northeast, I don't think. First and only time I ate at one was in 2000 on my way to the Grand Canyon.

of when my older sister called to tell me they have opened a Sonic near her town of California City, CA...Man, she was very eager to try the food (Whereas Deb & I can have Sonic any day of the week since there is one located up the road from our home.)

Sonic & Taco Mayo (Poops all over Taco Hell, I mean Taco Bell) are 2 of my favorite fast food joints, And both are Oklahoma based companies.

Krystal Pizza went out of business years back (There used to be a Krystal's right next door to Casa Bonita in Tulsa-And yes, Casa Bonita is exactly like the one shown in the South Park episode)

Yeah, last Christmas when I was in Norman, it seemed like there were more Sonics in town than there are Starbucks in Seattle.

Do you suppose folks outside the states eat these and call it "ethnic food"?

Has Pizzeria Regina made it out to any of y'all yet?

with the Castle.

I've seen a Pizzeria Regina somewhere in 'the City', just cant remember where at.

Another restaurant we like, that may be considered 'ethnic food' is the Blue Corn Cafe (Southwestern/Native American food).

PR is from the North End here in Mass, good stuff. Blue Corn Cafe reminds me of my mixup with Stevie's "Storms". I thought the line was "Never have I been a blue corn seed, I have always..." Oh that's rich.

Sounds interesting. What do they serve as Native American dishes?

Off the top of my head, and only guessing, I'd say:

Buffalo Burgers w/black beans & corn...with a side of peyote buttons

BTW - anyone ever had Buffalo meat? It's delish. Very similar to steak, but I thought it was more tender & flavorful.
