Default Get You A "Rolling Stone" 1000th issue

Not only is it chock-full of extremely cool stories about cover shoots for some of the most famous photographs from the magazine's storied history, it also has a story from Lindsey about the "Band In Bed" cover from 1977 I'd never heard. Of course this is while "Rumours" was being finished and all the drama and breakups...

Spoiler:

Photog Anne Leibowitz, who did the shoot, said she brought coke for everyone to relax them. The band consumed her whole stash in about a half hour.

Lindsey says that when the photo session was over, everyone got up except him and Stevie. They hugged there in the bed, and before they knew it they had been embracing for five minutes. They just didn't want to get up. After a while, Mick had to go tell them to get off the mattress because they were "freaking everybody out."

A great story, and the issue has bunches more that are just as interesting if you're a music fan. Pick one up.

By the way, you can also vote for your favorite RS cover ever at the magazine's web site, rollingstone.com. Let's make this FM cover #1.

I think this has been discussed to some degree already.

However, I bought the issue and am in the process of reading it. The FM article was cool. However, I remember reading most of that before. I believe there was a feature about memories of classic photo shoots in a previous issue from which a lot (if not all) of the article is probably taken from.

The mag is pretty sweet though.

Yep, on the Stevie board. Dang, I should have checked.

Anyway, we can still go vote.
