What to do???

I have payed a member of these boards for a magazine article that she was to send to me, but that was 3 months ago and I haven't received anything or heard from her though I've sent a bunch of messages and I know she must have read them as I see her logged in often. Now, it's made me very sad because I was really looking forward to receiving it and I feel cheated. Can anyone give some advice on what do do? Do I keep sending messages or just give up?

That seriously blows.

The really sucky part is the messages....that are unanswered.

Is there a Ledgie you trust that also knows this person? Perhaps they may be able to act as a moderator between you two via private messages or something?

Maybe for some odd reason they really haven't checked their messages? Perhaps this thread will strike a chord with this person and they'll send you the article?

I hope it all gets taken care of - and I truly hope it's just an honest mistake on the part of the person who got your money. Good luck!

Yeah, That could be too. I have had that happen to me and I have done the same. Sometimes I get the message when I am busy and I forget about it later. Has this person been very busy lately? Maybe that could be a reason.

If it makes you feel any better I am still waiting for someone to send me their end of a trade since September.

who cant fulfill their end of a trade should never be trading in the first place.

Thanks you guys for replying. I guess she could be extremely busy...but somehow that seems a bit strange considering the numbers of messages I've sent and also I did start a thread on the boards directed to her trying to get her attention as I thought the same as you did, maybe she hadn't seen my messages or her inbox was full or something...but nothing. I did talk to another person who had bought something from her and had gotten the item but a bit delayed, due to the shipping taking so long or that's what she said...but even so this person had gotten the item within a month. I mean, I'd understand if something had happened to the package during shipping or I could even put up with a delay on her end because of whatever reason but what bugs me is that she doesn't respond to my messages...

True. But there are far more important things in life then not getting a few DVDs. I am sorry that I brought it up to be honest. It's not the end of the world.

Exactly. I got burned by someone over in England for photos a few years back, and after being pissed for abouty 5 minutes, I figured that person will get theirsd eventually.

I wish people would just say the names of people who piss them off. In fact, I wish we'd all publish our ignore lists, just for ****s and giggles!

Mm, yeah that's her...I didn't want to be flamin' anybody or anything, I just want to get her attention. Yeah, who knows, maybe she's been out on the shows and just HAPPENED to get real busy after I sent her the money... I'm willing to give her the benefit of a doubt, if she'll just contact me already! So, yeah, you know who you are, just talk to me and we can figure this out and leave it all behind us

Nobody's on ignore over here. Like I said in another thread, I thrive on friction so I'll never put anyone on ignore, no matter how much they piss me off!

I met up with Jayne at a lot of the Aussie Gold Dust shows & she is a really nice person

Thats why I am so shocked!

I'm sure she has just forgotten about it... do you know her email address? Maybe you should email her if you do... because she might not check the ledge much anymore??
