Oct.18-Mom's cousin killed by drunk driver
Oct.19-My 2 first cousins killed by drunk driver
Oct.20-Nothing....Yet??!!!
Oct.21-Older brother's birthday
Oct.22-My Father killed by drunk driver

And people always wondered why I NEVER touch any alcohol...

Neither do I. You're no dummy, that's for sure. I have friends that have smoked pot too, and they always try to get me to do it, but I say no way, although it doesnt terribly offend me if they do it in my presence.

Amen. My big epiphany was when a friend of my sister's was killed coming home from his 21st birthday party by wrapping himself around a tree. I had just talked to him like a few days before and he was talking about going to trade school and alot of other stuff. Then to have it all end like that.

Janet, so sorry for your loss of your uncle. I lost a cousin suddenly a few years ago and he was also 44. It is way too young to go. Guys, please make sure you take care of yourselves. He was so caught up in taking care of his family and his business that he neglected his own health. He left behind four children and his homemaker wife. He was a wonderful man.

Mari, so sorry your epilepsy has been bothering you. Good luck with the job interview!

Brian, I am sorry March is looming for you. Make sure you surround yourself with your loved ones around that time.

This month has not treated me too badly other than being completely broke. I am having dreams about it! This week my boss resigned though and my work dried up so that has left me feeling uneasy. Though I am completely sick of the politics of that place! I am not treated with the respect that I should be. So I need to do something about that.

So here's to a lovely spring!!!

Thank you. I just had an issue with Blurt this week where he asked me (email) to tell him right away about any file issues in a chapter, which would basically mean writing the errors up twice. Now, I don't know what the errors are until I am done with the chapter anyway. Plus, he always has these little effing issues that take extra time and are inevitably a bunch of bullsh*t. I do not need extra busy work. So I just sent him the report and ignored his request. Mind you, he asked me for the info at noon on Thurs and I sent him the report at 1 on Fri. Now, does that seem like an excessive amount of time to let him know about file issues? And these were so MINOR. Like, change "Micheal" to "Michael". Jeez Louise! My blood was boiling because he forwarded his original message and said "Now, I would have thought you would have let me know about these right away." I wrote back that I just wrote them up as usual because it was more efficient. Bloody hell!

has been great to me, Went to visit my older brother in Lubbock (Dirt-Bowl) Texas and found a music store chain (Ralph's Records) that had some great hard-to-find music....Cant past up 3 discs for $20, So I spent about 2-3 hours rummaging through their selection and left a happy (But broke) person!

I have family around me, But they know I am not going into March as "A happy camper" (Being ill and having to relive the month my Mother was "murdered" due to incompetent medical ass-morsels has made me an "unhappy, anger-filled, death metal listening mutha@#$%^")

He's not even my boss, he's a team lead. I think that he thinks he's my boss though.

I always love February. My birthday is the 26th, my son's is the 11th. Plus Valentine's is in there and I am a hopeless romantic. This Feb was good with the exception of loosing my Uncle last week. I fly out tomorrow morning to Little Rock and my cousin will pick me up at the airport. I watched Elizabeth Town again last night to kinda to prepare for the whirlwind that's about to start. My husband and kids are staying behind because all three of them are sick with the flu. My brother is meeting me in Little Rock and we will stay at my dads. It weird how my family only gets together now for funerals.

I am sorry for your loss Janet. My Uncle was 78 and lived a full life. 44 is just too young.

Stupid March. My Mom was just telling me about an aunt of mine who died in surgery years ago, it was actually a biopsy and the circumstances were very shady. I told her about your Mom and how it was a hernia operation. My mom had that operation last year which freaked me out so I didn't tell her before it but she made it through fine. I can't imagine if I lost her that way, I'm so sorry for your loss.

I appreciate my mother so much more now that I know I could have lost her, she had the hernia due to another surgery which left her sick and weakened for a long time. She'd had breast cancer and a mastectomy where they moved her own abdominal tissue, including the 6-pack muscles, up to recreate the breast.

It is a really intense surgery which she probably wouldn't recommend to another. It seemed like a good idea at the time but losing those muscles was so strange for her that she didn't really feel like moving for a long time. This lead to the weakness and bowel issues that caused the hernia. She was uncomfortable for a long time. Before she was diagnosed, like 2-3 weeks before, I dreamed that she died and it was awful. So I was so freaked when she told me about the cancer. Ever since that dream I have been more attentive, I call her more often, hug her more, etc.

The reason why she got that mammogram was because she'd just lost her 44 year old cousin suddenly. She'd been putting it off for a couple of years. I get to have my first one early because of my family history, starting this year. Wahoo. But I will do it. Kicking and screaming and all of that.

I am glad your mom is okay, Suze. Mammograms are so important. My mom wouldn't have one for years, and breast cancer runs in our family, but I have begged and pleaded enough that she now goes.

thanks! the epi's driving me nuts, but I guess when one cause, stress over finding another job, is dealt with, it 'll be a lot better. I just have to be patient, I guess. Ah yes, and relax. Grmbl. I dunno how you do that when your body likes to twitch and jerk like a 100 times a day. Uh, ok, enough about that.
