I can't imagine that this is true. So few CDs go out of print these days, especially ones from major popular artists. Street Angel may not be Stevie's best or most popular album, but it still went gold, and it's only a decade old.

Anyway, it's available on Amazon.

Amazon has a stock in there warehouses. I tried ordering through INTERNATIONAL which means EMI ordered from all there suppliers across the globe. I called EMI to ask what was going on, and they told me it, and i quote "Is no longer avaliable" - so wether EMI has no idea about there own product, or you are right

I mean, I don't doubt your story, I just think there has to have been some kind of misunderstanding. It just doesn't make any sense to me why Warner/Reprise/EMI/whoever would completely discontinue this album. The only reason I could see for this ever happening is if they planning to reissue the album in a different form, although of there would have been an announcement about such a project, and Street Angel would be a very odd place to start.

Edit: As another possibility, I could see them possibly deciding no longer to distribute the album internationally, as I think it sold very poorly outside the US, but I just can't see it suddenly becoming unavailable in the States without warning.

I understand what you were saying, i hope i didn't come across as angry

As for EMI no longer distributing SA oversea's wouldn't work because I ordered it from oversea's - There are local orders which EMI would get from there own stock in NZ and Aussie, but I INDENT ordered SA, which means that they would get it from any oversea's EMI company which has it in stock - and they sent an invoice which came back as saying it was deleted, It would have said it was backordered if they were waiting on more stock, and now I can only assume that EMI are no longer distributing it

The only explanation I can think of that maybe they are reprinting SA with a different barcode/cat. number, which is quite possible Or maybe SA is in the process of changing Record Companies, it could be changing to Warners, but maybe Warners NZ don't know about the change yet? I don't know, i'll keep you all informed

It's been deleted for years. Over 6 years or so now. It's readily available anywhere on the internet of course, but when it comes to ordering it from the record companies it 'aint gonna happen unless it gets reissued.

Great. I've never found it on this side of the ocean, and from the looks of it, I never will.

I ordered it for the store in December 2005, and received them

It's just the latest order that says it is now deleted
