It was actually confirmed by Stevie a while back on Close Up New Zealand - It was around the Melbourne Cup time. She discussed the whole issue.

Yeah, she doesn't look much older. The 1989 one is cute.

Isn't that the holy grail of bootlegs or something? Everyone wants to see it, but no one has footage.

Thats Right, nobody but the people who were there have seen it. My mum & aunty were there, they have described what happened to me in detail and they still say to this day that it was the worst concert they have ever seen

My mum said that because there were over 30,000 people there, they werent up the front, but she did say that the whole concert was out of tune, and Lindsey was "A complete dick" and 3 quaters the way through GYOW the band stopped and stormed off the stage. And that was the end of the concert

Its an ever changing story. I would love one of the 20, 000 fans who attended the show to speak up, don't think anyone ever has. Just Stevie, Mick and Chris, but Chris never said he hurled a guitar at her. She said he mocked her during Rhiannon and kicked at her and then she threw a drink in his face. Stevie may have said it but nothing is confirmed for me.

note..I am sure LB was drunk and did something. I just think if he had hit her with a guitar, it would have made the news or at least ONE fan would have confirmed it?
He probably was a pompous jackass and embarrassed her during Rhiannon...I can totally see that.

This article is obviously a fake. It doesn't mention cocaine anywhere!

*edit - is there a bootleg of this show floating around???
Mick said in his book that the concert was aired on the radio live in New Zealand, but I've never heard it or seen anyone with a copy of it.

I think it would be really cool to hear!!

Maybe someone in NZ can dig up an old newspaper review.

Well, I think the tale is that he threw it at her, not that he hit her. When she tells it she doesn't say he hit her, doesn't she say something like "imagine, he could've killed me!"
Good thing Lindsey throws like a girl. (although not like this girl)

I only ever heard about the kicking. Still not nice though .... I guess she had her own back with Silver Springs on the Dance, though.
