Default Something I just noticed in Stevie's latest journal entry

Hi guys - I realized something today - there's something in Stevie's journal entry that I think is maybe being overlooked.

She specifically used the phrase, "get on the plane."

I realize this seems totally everyday and normal on the surface, but this is S.N. talking, remember? . . . .

Think about it - think back....

What do you mean by this? I don't have an encyclopedic knowledge of Stevie like a lot of the cool folks on this board, but do you think this is some kind of drug reference or something?

It seemed to me she had mixed emotions before getting on the plane to Australia. Eh, what do I know, lol!

I gotta admit that it might be more than likely that I'm reading too much into this, but the phrase "get on the plane" struck a familiar chord, so I did a search for it on nicksfix and found Stevie's journal entry from after 9/11.
During the course of her writings, she had pretty much scribbled down what she was apparently hoping would be the beginnings of a song about it -

"So with great courage
We
Get back on the plane
We strive to carry on
We break through the pain
The show must go on
We ~
Get back on the plane"

I honestly do feel it's possible that Stevie didn't mean it in an idle way when she mentioned that she's "getting back on the plane" in order to begin her tour in Australia. This is the first tour since her father's death, and of course the first one when he will not be able to be with her. That must mean an awful lot and it must be very emotional for her. She's "beginning again"
- with great courage, i.m.o. I hope she's having fun and really, I DO have the impression that she is - but also i.m.o., this is NOT easy for her.
That's why she was nervous about leaving home, perhaps.
Anyway I could be wrong but I honestly do feel that this wasn't an idle,
meaningless comment. As a matter of fact I think maybe the "get on the plane" remark was at the very center of what she was saying.
And even if it never entered her mind for a microsecond, I think maybe it's a fitting reference, just the same.

Stevie used that phrase in her journals after Sept. 11th
