I look forward to hearing how the rest of this CD sounds. I downloaded the version of "Time After Time" that is on there the other day, and it is just wonderful.

I know Shaggy's going to be there too. I have to save up for Stevie in Australia. I love Stevie so much that I sacrificed paying 250 dollars to meet elton and bette and watch them perform just to see Stevie and not even meet her.

The CD is out on the 8th and there are a few tourdates listed.

Hmmmmm...I could probably pull of Toronto or Verona.

I am SO going to see her. Why? Because Sandra Bernhardt AND Jill Sobule are touring with her. That's just...indescribably awesome.

Do you have the new album yet, Paula? True Colors and She Bop are great.

Cyndi Lauper was my first concert ever. I was 14.

I think this new CD sounds really good... I was thinking about going to her show here in Toronto...

I saw her open up for Cher a couple of years ago and she blew her out of the water (Cher was my childhood idol and I'd never seen her live until then).

Anyway, Cyndi was in-credible. Money Changes Everything sticks out in my mind- she was so powerful.

How wild, she is sitting there with a lap dulcimer. Does she play it? Anyone know?
Oh wait, I hear it on the Time After Time cut (listeing to Dreammms AOL link), I guess when the liner notes are available I will know if she plays it.

She sounds great - looks beautiful!

Not yet. I have no clue what I want for Xmas, and people keep asking me so this might be a gift. Don't know if I can wait that long, though. maybe I'll try that link later & see if I can listen.

Bernhardt?!?! Really! Every show? Now I will have to go for sure.

According to Cyndi's website, her "Decades Live" show with Shaggy, Ani, Weiland, etc. is set to air this Friday night on VH1 Classic. My cable guide doesn't say that, though, so I'm not positive.

EDIT: Found this info. I can't wait to see this show!

Did anyone catch her on Marth Stewart yesterday? I was flipping channels after dinner & saw her. She seemed so nervous & out of place around Martha, like she was thinking "what the hell am I doing here?" I missed her first song, but she did "I'll Be Your River" with Vivian Green & it was fantastic.

Oh, she was ADORABLE on Martha. I don't think she was uncomfortable. She was making jokes. Now, when she was on The View... I'd say she was uncomfortable there. I'd be annoyed if Joy Behar was interviewing me, too.

She did Time after Time first, which was to be expected. As much as I love her, I'm getting sick of that song. I know it's the latest single, but I think the other Body Acoustic stuff (Shine, All Through The Night, Above the Clouds(!!)) could benefit from more exposure. IBYR was incredible, though. The acoustics in that studio were very good; I would've loved to have been in the audience.

I don't get VH1 Classic, so unless someone wants to tape it for me, or I find a copy online, I doubt I'll ever seen this. I've seen pics from it. I am intrigued!

in the "Entertainment Weakly" magazine which reviews the upcoming Cyndi Lauper "Decades Live" episode and gives it a "C+" rating.

I was happy to see this thread bumped back up - opportunity to talk about Water's Edge. I love this song so much... probably because there is someone in my life right now who I wish would "wrap himself around me" because "I am gripped by his lonliness..." It seriously makes my heart ache to listen to it. And I'm a sucker for musical punishment.

What a minute, these songs are on The Body Acoustic. Is this what you're talking about? I have that already .
