Default Rooms on Fire Cover

Has anybody heard or seen this? I came across it while searching for Stevie videos on youtube.com. It’s by DJ Europa featuring Natalie James and was released on a compilation in 2005. What a horrible remix and the video is worse! I mean come on people, throwing a frisbee and swinging on a tire to Rooms on Fire? Quite a contrast from Stevie’s vision for the song . Maybe I'm just a tough audience for Stevie covers but I did like Rod Stewart's version of Stand Back .

I think it sucks...and I really wanted to like it. To me, if you listen closely, you can tell the girl really can't sing...she's got a Britney quality about her...

Yes and it's awful. I couldn't even get through it.

I haven't heard it but I guess it would be interesting to hera a girl with a Britney quality sing that song

By the way the video (the original I mean of course!) was on VH1's So 80's a couple of days and I was thrilled . I hadn't seen that video since I was 13!!!(in 1989)

Oh this cover isnt that bad. The video is pointless. Lots of other things they could of done without a budget.

*shudder* Dear God, that was awful!! That song needs to be bloody well belted out with a bit of feeling and strength, not sugar-sweet Britney-quality as it's been said ....

But I loved Rod Stewart's Stand Back. I also quite liked Linus Love's version too, which was weird because I usually don't like dance mixes and so on. I have yet to hear a Stand Back cover I don't like ...

But this one definitely gets the thumbs down.

... Oh... My... God... That was _awful_. I couldn't even watch it, I only watched the first few minutes. Stevie must be spinning in her... car.

She's a bit full of herself too, isn't she? Apart from having trademark Dependance On Terrible Dance Beats Sydrome. I mean... *close up shot of her looking soulfully at the camera* ... *close up shot of her mini skirt* ... *shot of her smiling at the camera* ... *close up shot of her touching her mini skirt* ... *shot of her using innocent tree as lap dancing pole*

I am a very tough audience for Stevie covers. Complete chiffon snob. I didn't like Rod Stewards cover (though I do admit it's better than _this_...)

Seems this cover video is mostly about T&A and definitely low budget. I can appreciate the "nod" to Stevie tho. I love this song and that someone chose to cover it is really cool. Vocally, there's not much risk taken in terms of range. Maybe she hasn't been singing for half her life. Sounds better than if I were to sing it! That may not be saying too much tho. heehee

Ugh, what a trainwreck.

The cover I do in the shower is 10 times better...

Wow....I'm gonna have to disagree. I think it's a great cover. I love the dance beat. Livia, do you remember it from my going away party?

At least Britney has better taste in songs...(ohhh sorry, oops..)

At least Britney has better producers....ok, much better.
