You betcha.
I like Michelle Rodriguez. Quite a bit. But mostly I like to watch movie surfing. It's like a fantasy video for me.
To balance it out I'm also watching a science show on pbs during the 'mmercials.

Watch her on an episode of Lost, you'll hate her. HAAAAAAAAAAATE her. I find myself dreaming about the horrible things I'd like to do to her. That girl is straight out of a dinner theatre.

Never seen the movie, though.

Didn't know about it. What's the scoop? Why so great? When's it on? I usually only watch science shows.

I don't like Lost, and I'm not going to watch it. The only other thing I've seen her in is the boxing movie. There's actually really only a 30-40% chance I'd think the same as you, anyways.

http://www.pbs.org/previews/masterpiece_bleakhouse/

Charles Dickens' complex tale of young love, murder and the quest for a mystery-man's identity unfolds in a sumptuous new six-part adaptation by celebrated screenwriter Andrew Davies. MASTERPIECE THEATRE's "Bleak House," starring Gillian Anderson ("The X-Files"), Charles Dance ("The Jewel in the Crown") and other masters of Dickensian disguise, airs on PBS Sundays, January 22-February 26, 2006, 9:00 p.m. ET.

An epic feast of characters and storylines, "Bleak House" features some of the most famous plot twists in literary history, including a case of human spontaneous combustion and an infamous inheritance dispute that is tied up for generations in the dysfunctional English courts, while lawyers consume the assets of the estate.

At its heart, "Bleak House" is the story of the icily beautiful Lady Dedlock (Anderson), who nurses a dark secret, and the merciless lawyer Mr. Tulkinghorn (Dance), who seeks to uncover it.

The cast of supporting characters contains some of Dickens' most famous creations: Smallwood, the evil moneylender; Krook, the cool police inspector at the center of fiction's first-ever whodunit; and Little Jo, the young crossing sweeper, whose tragic death almost brought Victorian England to a standstill.

For Davies - generally regarded as the master of literary adaptations, including Anthony Trollope's The Way We Live Now and Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice - taking on Dickens was a mixed blessing: "Dickens gives you such strong lines of dialogue and there are all these wonderful, grotesque characters you can really run with," says Davies. "But plot-wise it's a nightmare."

Anderson is supposed to be phenomenal in it.

That sounds good. I probably won't, though. Every single show I like is on on Sunday, I swear. And inevitably, I have homework on Sunday nights...
It does sound especially juicy, though. I'll write it on the calendar.

I didn't like it much until I got talked into watching the DVDs. Now I love it. I don't think it's the kind of show that works weekly, unfortunately. It suffers from the time between episodes.

I thought she was good in that until I saw her in other stuff and realized she turned in the same performance practically every time.

I just looked on Amazon and it comes out on DVD once it's finished airing on PBS. I'm very excited to see it for some reason.

Maybe you're right about Lost. But I have enough tv to watch, so far.
I suspected that might be true of Michelle Rodriguez. But I watched a review of a different weird movie she was in, and the reviewers gave her way kudos, and I saw a clip and she looked different.

Excellent! If I miss some I can netflix it.
The plot looks really awesome, maybe that's part of why you're excited. You know, it looks all sordid and twisty. I mean, for christ's sake, someone spontaneously combusts in it! Who wouldn't be looking forward to that?!

Hey! Rosie needs no date, save for a couple drinks! Especially since my upstairs VCR bit the dust a couple weeks ago, and I haven't gotten around to replacing it yet!

Gillian Anderson is one HELL of an actress. If you doubt it for one second, rent "House Of Mirth". She deserved an Oscar.

OMG, someone else who saw that.

It kind of pisses me off how little recognition her performance and the actual movie got.
