I would say Stevie, if you count her career with Fleetwood Mac and not just her solo career.

Sheryl Crow - 9 Grammies.

Stevie Nicks (solo) - 0 Grammies.

That's the difference in terms of Awards. But seriously, I think success can be measured in a bunch of different ways. Record Sales, Awards, Concert Revenue, Longevity etc.

Certified US Album Sales Only:

Sheryl: 15 Million
Stevie (solo) 10.5 Million
FM: 48.5 Million

Well since Stevie's "career" includes her work with Fleetwood Mac and her solo career, It would definetely be Stevie.

I think Stevie is more of a legend though and thats what makes her more famous and successful. Shes been around for so long and has become an icon for so many artists growing up today. I think thats what ita all about.

I think if we asked Sheryl this question, she'd be blown away that it was even being discussed.

Well I think Stevie will go down in history as being legendary and I can't say the same for Sheryl. But we are Stevie fans so of course we're going to stick up for our girl. Ask this question on a Sheryl board and see what happens!

Again, as with Madonna, I'm not sure why the need to compare Stevie against other artists.

It's a different day and age. Not to sound like an old fart, but we are all fans of an iconic individual. Her music, her image, her talent, her videos, etc. Today to be a fan of someone like say Sheryl is just cause you buy their album. Not to say that Sheryl doesn't have rabid fans like we are of FM and their respective individuals, but it's different now to be a fan of someone vs. when Stevie first came onto the scene. Growing w/ someone instead of living the moment w/ them.

I would say that Stevie wins vs. Sheryl cause she of the MTV era and actually at Sheryl's age, I'm surprised she has been successful as she has. If you don't show a lot of t&a you usually won't last long. Sheryl MIGHT endure the years to come and be spoken of like we do w/ Stevie, but like I said years from now it'll be even more different.

Just wanted to get fans opinions ,thought it would be interesting to discuss different female artists who have been extremely successful.I enjoy when Stevie and Sheryl perform together.I would love to see them do some venues together like Don and Stevie.....I have never been a Madonna fan.

Like Stevie Nicks, Sheryl Crow has earned the respect of her peers and has worked with many of today's legends. I think Sheryl's music will one day prove to have the longevity of Stevie's material and she may ultimately match or surpass Stevie in records sales if she continues to make music as long as Stevie has. That's why I think their friendship and collaborations are special - it's like Stevie's passing the torch as the current living legend/Queen of Rock to the future one.
