Hmmmm.... I keep telling myself that I'm not going to read anything into this, but what the hell.

The notion that Brown Eye is somehow "popular" around here because he came out of the closet could be perceived as slightly insulting. Just because one is gay does not automatically whisk them in some club where they get some kind of free pass.

The thing that is most interesting to me about homosexuality is its diversity. Gays are everywhere- we exist in almost every demographic throughout the world. Homosexuality is part of humanity. With that said, gays do not have any kind of universal acceptance any more than straights do. Brandon's Coulterworship/baby-killer rhetoric is offensive regardless of his orientation. Actions always speak louder than words and if Brandon claims to be depoliticized and less inflammatory than his past then I will wait and see how it pans out. Whether or not he's a fag is immaterial.

I'm pretty sure that we're on the same page here, however, your post was a little too "Velvet Mafia" for me.

Absolutely. It's stopped being about how the government can best serve the people who hold the power to run it, and essentially own it, into choosing a side via a political party and duking it out with the opposite side. Pretty pointless.

I really don't think Brown Eyes' "acceptance" has anything to do with his being gay. It's got much more to do with the fact that he decided to start questioning his political behavior in addition to his sexual behavior, and stopped shouting his Coulterisms every day in favor of actually posting about Fleetwood Mac.
