Does anybody know if Stevie wrote Cat House Blues. I love that song and want it to be her's.
Yes, she did indeed write that one.

Like Strand, I am shocked you don't restrict yourself to biodegradable eco friendly detergent.

Well, if it's any consolation, my trash bags are biodegradable and I don't throw out batteries.

Lack of vocal pliability. Her voice box doesn't have pliability any more. She can't sing 'bustling,' so that affects a lot of songs, like 'Rhiannon,' 'Edge of Seventeen,' 'Rock 'n' Roll,' 'I Need to Know,' etc.

Her voice is more geared to the languid.

OMG I'm having a mild coronary!!! I was looking through Rick Nowels discography and it said he wrote the music to Rooms on Fire!! I never knew that? I thought Rooms was an original Stevie composition. I'm crushed that the music to my favorite Stevie song was not written by her when all these years I had assumed it was. I'm devastated! I need to go back so sleep and hope this is a nightmare lol.

Spin it anyway you want honey - but the liberal tree huggers have been warned of your eco unfriendly pseudo incontinence.

Oh well. My detergent is phosphate free, so I won't lose any sleep.

Yeah, Rick Nowels wrote the music for several of her songs: Rooms on Fire, Long Way to Go, Two Kinds of Love, Ooh My Love, I Can't Wait, If I Were You.

And a bunch of other songs' music was written by other people, too:

Ghosts (Mike Campbell)
Whole Lotta Trouble (Mike Campbell)
Fire Burning (Mike Campbell)
Alice (Rupert Hine)
Sister Honey (Les Dudek)
Imperial Hotel (Mike Campbell)
The Nightmare (Chris Nicks)
Has Anyone Ever Written Anything for You (Keith Olsen)
No Questions Asked (Kelly Johnston)
Desert Angel (Mike Campbell)
Love Is Dangerous (Rick Vito)
Freedom (Mike Campbell)
The Second Time (Rick Vito)
If Anyone Falls (Sandy Stewart)
Nightbird (Sandy Stewart)
Nothing Ever Changes (Sandy Stewart)
Kind of Woman (Benmont Tench & Stevie)
Think About It (Roy Bittan & Stevie)

Stevie's a much more prolific lyricist than she is a penner of chord progressions.

Hasn't she said that she sat down at her piano and banged that song out in five minutes flat, David? Weird.

I think she did the demo of it and she gave Keith Olsen a writing credit for the extra music. She plays the piano demo in the Cynthia McFadden interview during the NYC TISL concerts.

Beats me, I never bothered to read through the liner notes on the CD. All kinds of ****ed up, they are.

EFO is the one song that totally WOWED me the first time that I heard SAY YOU WILL. It was also the first song that I went back to once the entire first listen was over. It's one of her best songs in years and that has everything to do with her vocals AND the arrangement. Isn't this mix on the CD done by Chris Lord-Alge? Shame on WB for not making this the first single...(followed rather quickly by MIRANDA). A sassy radio edit would have done the job had it been accompanied by a video.
