She commented candidly now. (and with the coke, apparently has been candid since 2001, according to Stew).

And likewise, I don't think she previously relayed the throwing the guitar story.

So, she's consistent in that she probably didn't feel like relaying her private secrets, and the bands, before - but now with time between it all, she feels she can.
Plus, she did admit that she may have been ooing and ahhing during one of his solos....

I can only hope that now with so much time having passed, someone in her camp will now feel it appropriate to tell us truthfully whether or not she actually had cocaine blown up her ass.

Ahh, just like she was so quick to admit to the cocaine addiction in the first place, rather than a "problem with alcohol"?

I think she needed time to come to terms with some of the aspects of that addiction.

Ahh, dissy, one can only hope that the people you meet in life show you as much understanding as you show others.

I don't know if you read what I said, and are just trying to spin it out of context, but I said she is consistent in the timing of her candor.
But, if your going to do that with my points, I might as well not bother.
I don't mean any offense by that, it just seems that you won't believe any corroborating guitar throwing witnesses, or Stevie herself saying it (as if anyone would make that up).
I suspect you won't believe it until LB calls you up and tells you it's true, or if you see a recording of the actual event.

Or how about the time she wept for a BBC interviewer about not having kids? Or when she prattled on about her abortions for another interviewer? Or that Nicky Horne interview where she went after anyone she could think of? Don't paint Ms. Nicks as someone who doesn't love to talk about her personal problems to anyone who'll listen, because it doesn't wash. Turn the recorder on and she'll dish about pretty much anything and anyone.

Yeah, including the time LB threw his guitar at her in NZ.

That's up to you. I don't find much of anything she says to be consistent; not in timing or content. Just the other day she was talking about her neverending love affair with Lindsey and how they love each other, then she did a total 180 and whipped the **** out of him in this recent interview. There's no question that he was a total asshole, but consistency is not one of her strong suits.

And you know as well as I do, that every single one of those interviews that you just cited was conducted during the height of her Klonopin addiction, when she has admitted that she was a miserable, unhappy person, who was difficult to get along with, and who said and did many things that she regretted and later apologized for.

But, as usual, that part of the story doesn't suit your argument, so it's conveniently forgotten.

Isn't the fact that she ALWAYS notes that they have a "love-hate relationship," enough of an explanation for some discussions of Lindsey to focus on the "love" side, and some to focus on the "hate" side?

You're purposely over-simplifying things and overlooking all grey areas. I'm not black & white, you're not black & white, and Stevie Nicks isn't black & white. And that's what it comes down to.

Blah blah. You can choose to think of your "ironic" martyr however you choose. I, on the other hand, see someone who will gladly dish for anyone in the media willing to listen. This most recent interview is a prime example of that. One of her problems is that she tried to create a mysterious persona, but then screwed it all up for herself as soon as she opened her mouth to do something other than sing. When it comes to interviews, she's never heard the phrase "Always leave them wanting more." Her interviews always leave me thinking I've heard way too damned much. I much prefer the Mark and Brian kind of stuff or that recent one about her niece and the computer.

Other than Stevie, who said it?
I would again have to bring up my point that people don't feel the same way about other people every single day.
I would also say that it was not a 180. What it was was Stevie answering direct questions about what Lindsey did in the past, and why their relationship ended, and their dynamic together then and now. She never said she hated him now. She merely relayed what he had done.

And then she said they fight all the time, still, it's just their dynamic - which is what adds spark and tension to their shows and their music together. That's what she said. And that is a neverending love affair - one where they fight all the time, and make great music together.

In other words, she was just discussing another aspect of her relationship with Lindsey that the reporter directly asked her about, she wasn't at all going back on how she feels about Lindsey now.

I'm sorry, i think you have to be looking at what she said...not quite carefully enough, or maybe too simply, if you think she was lying before when she said they had a neverending love affair, and/or you think she's lying now when she relays the ways he used to treat her, and how they still fight and it's their dynamic and always will be. These two feelings/thoughts can exist in one person without it being inconsistent. She hates how Lindsey used to treat her, they still fight all the time, but their "thing" (love affair) is neverending, and a great source of inspiration for her, and she loves Lindsey. I dunno, all those things together seem fine to me.

And Ken Callait heard Stevie and Lindsey joking together about the guitar throwing incident. Do you think Ken would have randomly made up something he heard them joking about? And that it would happen to be what Stevie said actually happened? Longshot, IMO.

I see someone has been reading their Psychology Today.
