We're assuming that Nicks wasn't allowed to belt out her rendition of the country's national anthem, since the sound of a goat has been known to spook our equine brethren now and again . . .
How odd. Rolling Stone is usually so busy licking anybody's ass who's in a thousand miles radius, it's realy bizarre to see them take pot shots like that for seemingly no reason. Id this some new "edgy" direction they're taking, or did Stevie do something to piss them off?

Man. People, deal with it. Its a joke. And I laughed very hard at it. Stevie Nicks is an amazing singer, but some people just don't like her voice.Joy. They have a right to say that. First Amendment, folks. So let the guy have his freedom of the press, and don't try to rip apart Rolling Stone for it.

Arrow John...

I don't hate them for what they said about SN. We all joke about her goaty-ness anyways. I hate them because I back ordered the 1997 FM issue, never received it, emailed them, then they finally sent me the WRONG ISSUE and I continued to email them over and over again.....anyways, I lost $10.

HATE!!!! Oh, and they don't know sh*t about music either.

I think I missed the post where somebody called for the writer's arrest...

Rolling Stone has the right to print whatever they want, and everybody else has the right to point out that they're a ****ty, irrelevant magazine with piss-poor music writers. Everybody wins, right?

I agree, pure trash for quite some time now. They have hated Stevie ever since her first solo albumn. I can't stand them for other reasons, but that one will do...

I think it's just that most of their writers didn't consider Stevie an important or extremely talented songwriter -- it's not so much hate in my view as it is "We'd rather write about Elvis Costello."

Stevie's never really been esteemed critically by the general mass of rock writers, with a handful of notable exceptions.

its weird, usually Rolling Stone has something nice to say about Stevie or the Mac. It was pretty strange for me to read a comment like this.

o.k..so I'm not a "true fan" because I thought the south park episode was hilarious...(I mean..you have to admit..that little patch on her hind end...and the flowy pink skirt was Phat!) *L* geesh....I guess all that money I 've spent on every single album she's put out was money down the toilet.
I'm sorry..but in my opinion regarding that-stevie could have gotten a LOT worse on southpark-(barbara streisand comes to mind) so I thought it was cute and no harm done. Hey..she looked fab regardless.

and about the RS article... (<---minus the "smiley part"..that is me sticking out my tongue at them.....er..yeah...anyway *L* carry on...)

Compared to the thrashing that other celebs have received (the aforementioned Streisand, Rod Stewart, Sally Struthers, Phil Collins, and so on), I wouldn't be surprised if Matt and/or Trey were actually Nicks fans.

I thought the episode was hysterical and positively surreal. And you HAVE to love the fact that Stevie is a big enough "name" to still get mentioned on as hip a show as 'South Park.'

Sure beats obscurity!

Well they say any press is good press, but I personally hate that they liken Stevies singing to a goat. Anyone who says that, I have contempt for!

I can get along with the jokes 99% of the time. I don't find it funny - I think it's stupid, but ehh, who cares...
