I'm curious, how much vacation days do you get in the US, on average?
I think I have about four-five weeks per year. (Not three months!! Where is that?) Usually one week at christmas and 3 in the summer. You get vacation days and you get days off for special occasions, like national holidays.

The most paid vacation I've ever gotten is 2 weeks. And then paid holidays for Christmas, Easter, etc.

Ok, that's not much!! Another good reason not to move to the US
But does that mean you tend to take up more non-paid days?
For some jobs here you get even more days, I forgot to add.

This is my life too.... IN MY DREAMS!

That sounds so peaceful and relaxing. I'd love to even have a few weeks of that a year! Unfortunately, I haven't had even a whole week straight of vacation in almost 3 years, and I'm totally burned out! I am definitely "harried", for many reasons. I'll post more on that later, though. I'm at work right now and I have a feeling my post will turn into a ramble/rant/therapy session!
