I have been warned and so I know how much you and Jason love to have the last word! So I will let you have it...so give yourselves a pat on the back so you can think you have "won" against the "rube"!

This uneducated boy must be getting to bed now...

goodnight.

It has nothing to do with the last word, it has to do with having a grasp on what you're arguing.

Goodnight, Sleestak.

It reminds me of attending dinner parties and talking politics with someone who has stances on issues, but knows next to nothing about them and doesn't come armed with a single fact. The discussion then becomes as flaccid as Tom Cruise at the sight of a naked woman and a rather uncomfortable vibe begins to permeate through the air.

And it will happen, hopefully as soon as possible.

Hmmm --- maybe we are there because of an unrelated even in 1950 that you can put out there in an attempt to deflect W and posse's current lies for why we are there Of course, Rumsfeld and the Rupub. admin. at that time did actually help put SH in power to begin with, so there is that as well

They had the trucks with supplies ready but they did not have any fuel in them.

Is that why Minute Rice just recently said to prepare to be there for possibly ten more years?

Well...The US military presence in Iraq is going to be essentially permanent. With 200 Billion in capitol investment at stake, we're not just going to walk away from that. Our Iraqi bases are a permanent thorn in Iran's side, and we would be remiss in walking away from such a strategic advantage that, when coupled with our Afghan bases, form a pincer that the Ayatollahs cannot stomach.

Yay! A little honesty! Isn't that why we REALLY invaded Iraq... for military bases? It's been part of the Neocons' grand plan since the early 90s.

Brandon is correct: The justification for the war is now, "Well yeah, we f***ed things up by going in there in the first place, but we'll be f***ing things up even more if we try leave."

I believe that's the definition of a "quagmire." As with quicksand, once you're in, struggling to pull yourself out only causes you to sink deeper into the pit.
