There are a couple of other things I'd like to see on the Mirage remix if the gods are listening: that slow rehearsal of Gyspy where Stevie is doing that Ronnie Specter/Be My Baby thing and Lindsey is singing in a falsetto and the live rehearsal version of Straight Back. That thing was nothing short of blistering.

You know what's also cool? I am not going to be able to explain this well... it's a demo of Gypsy with Lindsey. It sounds totally different. He is singing harmonies in the background.

Thanks Chris, You kick ass !

Fascinating listening. My face is still twisted up with a furrowed brow, squinted Zellwegger eyes, and a puckered mouth after hearing If You Were My Love.

WTF ?

I hate all these songs. Always have, pretty much. Nonetheless, it was really great to hear different versions. They sound like they are from a different planet. Greta, IMO is actually better. It was unpredictable. And Docklands was very strange. I almost liked it. So completely out there. What in HELL were they thinking ? It was like a train hit a helicopter, a submarine, a produce truck and a van full of paint all at once.

You need to spearhead the project. I agree totally.

Thank you very much for sharing these Street Angel tracks. I have really enjoyed them. I just got home, so I'm still digging for something for you in my "vault." I shamelessly voted 'Maybe Love' as "so so" on another poll thread. But after hearing this demo of it, I want to retract my vote. The vibe was so different.

Thanks very much.

LOL - I was doing that dance to it earlier in the, thank goodness, privacy of my own home I, of course, had to put on "Downtown" afterward

The version of Docklands makes that song work for me. Crazy I know. But when I hear it in this form, it's easy for me to ignore the laundromat lyrics somehow.
This version of Greta really does it for me. And I had never really thought much of the song until I heard it this way.

Are we talking about the same one? If not, I need to go through all of my Gyspy demos promptly. I could be gone for a while.

You're very welcome. This version of Maybe Love completely turned the song around for me. I never liked it that much before.
