They keep focusing in on that one dark-skinned girl with long hair and a flowy looking sheer kind of shirt on. Very pretty! I wish they would have the camera on Stevie more instead of audience members (no offense to any who were there in the shots).

She'd probably been up late the night before and it was an emotionally charged atmosphere by most accounts.

Well you looked great!

BTW, was it cold or hot? I've seen pictures of Stevie in a fur coat, but Brooke Shields was wearing a T-shirt.

True. I'd expect it during Landslide, but Standback just does not seem like a time to cry to me.

Maybe when Stevie sang "take me hommmmmmmmmmme" she thought of the hurricane victims wanting to go home? And choked up! lol

It was about 61 degrees during soundcheck... Not hot, not cold... I think it warmed up to about 65 by the time the show started.. It was the kinda day you could get away with shorts and a tee or jeans and a sweatshirt...

I swear I thought to myself "OMG, she's kind of doing the mashed potato like during Angel in the Tusk Doc!" Not as animated, obviously, but still!

BTW - Apparently our TV schedules have been moved aroundf here l;ately - I got all 3 hours on the Tivo!

Dreams? Wow! Can't believe nobody mentioned the "La la la laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" at the end! Kickass!

Stevie sounded fantastic live. Watching it back on tv does not do it justice. She sounded vocally impeccable and Katie even commented on it. She just went for everything and seemed so happy and into her performance. Landslide reduced me to tears....thinking about her Dad and the Hurricane and all that....alot of people were crying, including Brooke and Katie. Her voice was so strong and she went for alot of the notes. Hearing Sharon sing Landslide was so cool. She did a little soundcheck right before Stevie went on live, during the commercial break and she looked soo nervous. I mean seriously nervous . When the audience clapped for her, she looked so sweet and humble. I enjoyed hearing her sing it.
Like I said elsewhere, this has been my favorite Stevie related event in a long while. The soundcheck was particularly fun.

I mentioned the lalalala's in one of these threads, I also loved it..I think it was probably one of the best versions of DREAMS in a very long time....as well as STAND BACK...which I also completely LOVED the dancing in place thing, was my fav. part!!

Iy looks to me like Brooke Shields was dancing to SB and then when the camera came on, she stopped and was embarrassed. I think that was sweat, not tears. She was well aware that the camera was on her during Landslide as well.
