I think it's ludicrous for one to assert that an entire generation is being destroyed. Surely you know better than that. Nothing is going to stop millions of babies from being born.

No, not the "God breathed" kind that is granted exclusively to us humans (again...Catholic here). Does that mean I don't think that animals will go to heaven...nope! I firmly believe my dogs will be there waiting for me!

I have met pro-choice Republicans before. That's not unheard of. There are also Democrats who definitely aren't liberals. Do the generalizations ever stop?

Arlen Specter is pro-choice.

Exactly.

And then how many thousands of them will end up in orphanages, or neglected and/or abused because they were never wanted?

All of these people scream and yell, "DON'T KILL BABIES!!!" and then once the child is born, they basically say, "well, kid, you're on your own."

How compassionate.

I think you know you have a soul when you experience one of the emotions unique to human beings. Something as simple as being touched by the kindness of a stranger, crying the first time your heart is broken, when you hear that one song that touches you deep inside...a place you didn't even realize existed.

So, to answer your question, I don't think that a soul is something that you can define as real but rather something you have to feel for yourself.

That was a lousy explanation...lol

That's their modus operandi. Make sure that the woman takes her baby to full term, gives birth, and then when she's a single mother trying to provide a life for her and her child, they say "Go f*ck yourself, you should have kept those knees locked" and proceed to cut funding for social programs that are in place to benefit them. I wonder how many single mothers with unwanted pregnancies Brandon has helped out financially.

You can believe something but that doesn't mean you know it, like we know mathematical equations or Newton's laws.
Hey...BTW...I don't believe that!

And a scientist can argue that all the things you've described there are merely the results of chemical reactions in your brain.

I've always thought it extremely egotistical to think that any god would favor us above all else.

We're "all God's creatures," no? So why would he play favorites?

By the way, I was raised Catholic, too. The religion has its good qualities, but some of the principles that Catholicism is based upon are fundamentally flawed, IMO.

But my point is...

what about those that didn't have a chance.

I agree, not all democrats are liberal...and republicans are definitely not all conservatives.

Now that is unfair. You can't generalize about how those who appose abortion don't care what happens to the child after birth. You know, adoption is a wonderful option. And I do personally care what happens.

Okay...well then why do you continue to make such generalizations? I can't count them all and I wouldn't do anyone any good to link to various posts of yours to prove a point. Enough people have done that already.
