To answer the original question....
I got Stevie'd out years ago and have been Mac'd out for little while as well. Though I still have no explanation for the listening of Timespace the other day. I don't know what got into me. I suppose it was the same psychotic/masochistic streak that made me buy Britney Spears' Greatest Hits. I'm not quite Lindsey'd out, though. At least I don't think I am. I don't think I can be, but I haven't really listened to him in several weeks. Quite disappointed with "Shut Us Down" or whatever the hell that Elizabethtown song was called. Disappointed with the soundtrack in general, including the new Petty song. Now THAT was a shocker. What can I say? I'm fickle. I get bored if I'm not given something new and exciting on a fairly regular basis. |

I never tire of Lindsey and Christine. Stevie's the only one I get a bit schizophrenic with. Her old stuff is ace and I listen to it frequently, but I'm sick of most post-1983 material because I don't find it to be very good.

I'm semi-Stevied-out...I'd really like something new to sing with, so I'm all over bootlegs and various live versions at the moment. While I enjoyed this summer's concert, I thought the marketing was bad: poor selection of t-shirts, no tour books, no buttons, etc. As has been mentioned elsewhere, I think that a lot of the time, Stevie caters to the least common denomenator regarding her set list, and forgets us diehards that would LOVE to hear damn-near anything other than "Landslide" again. I won't even listen to it on the radio anymore. I will always go see Stevie or the Mac if I can, but I'm laying off listening to the music right now.

Btw, can't say that I am Stevie or FM'ed out. But maybe it's different for me since I live in Europe. I have to live vicariously through you guys when they are touring, because they won't come to this neck of the woods. I tried going to England last time they were there, but my work schedule wouldn't let me. Maybe this time, there's always hope.

I would never get burnt out enough to shun any performances - live, TV, etc. I would go see Stevie solo or Lindsey solo or Fleetwood Mac every night if I could (okay, maybe then I'd get a little burnt). If they want to keep touring, I will keep going. (And I venture to guess most of you guys would too! Just wait til they start announcing dates!
) I don't listen to their music every single day - I don't watch my videos or DVDs of their concerts or specials every single day. But I will never not be a fan - I will never not stop and listen if a song comes on the radio. I will never go on a road trip without at least 8 different CDs of commercial and bootlegged material of theirs to listen to. I can't wait to see Stevie tomorrow on Today - and if the tour rumours are true, can't wait til next summer! ![]()

I never feel Stevie-ed out, but I also don't listen to her on a daily basis.
I will not be going to any 2006 Fleetwood Mac shows unless (1) Christine is with them, (2) they play small venues, or (3) they shake up their stale setlist. Since my Giants have a better chance of winning the World Series this year than any of the above, I am not worried about saving my pennies. I would much rather Stevie follow through with this Sydney symphony thing, as I'd strongly consider maxing out the credit cards for that experience. |
