Ditto my sister. The girl married a guy named Mike Ball. Sandy Beech Ball.

Here are my corkers :

The drug store Kids - Modess, Benaedryl, Suetafette.

Remarkably clunky girl name in Portland newspaper : Marqueeshia.

Some other random silly ones : Mecca, Paisley, P.A., Binky, Blue, and Bruscetta.

Years ago, I had the cut out page from a 1980's Portland phone book, which no lie, had a listing for Penelope Poopstain. It must have been a joke, but we laughed about it for YEARS.

Well, one of friends last name is Ball. So on their answering machine it says "Hello, you have reached the Balls."

I also knew someone with the last name Cummins, Buttkus (prounced buttkiss), Cox, and Ingledinger

Funniest name I've ever heard: Sor Wang.

Not sure if these are too weird, but I know they stuck out in my mind!

A sports reporter on the radio in RI's name is Jim Shorts. I worked with a guy named Ashok Matthai. (I shook my tie.).

Some of the names I've seen in this thread are crazy, parents gotta be doing some hard drugs to use such names.

I LOVE that one. Not because it's a good name, but because it's one helluva unique one. Marqueeshia. Ha. I had a Jamaican neighbor about two years ago named Josophita. Not as good as Marqueeshia, unfortunately.

What parent would be able to look their kid in the eye after naming the poor thing that?

And what was it that Penn or Teller just recently named their daughter? Christ, that was a heinous one.

Moxie. I like it. Um, p.s., I don't think it's Penn and Teller's daughter.

My husband's family all have odd names: Oleevia, Nyla, Gail (for a man), Bryn, Cean...

But here's the kicker, the dogs are Jeff and Jacob. The cats are Charlie, John, Chuck, Billy Bob, Emmitt, Sara, Charlotte, and Emily.

oops, you sure did. My bad. Think it's Penn.

Oh, Sandy and Dusty Rhodes. I think their kid was named something lame, too.

A friend who worked in new born area of the hospital told me this women looked at her chart and thought she saw the most beautiful name on it. So she wanted to name her kid Ga-nor-rea. or for those keeping score at home: gonorrhea.

exactly.
At first I was like "Shera"? "Shera"? (I punched a girl named Shera before, only it was Shara)
Then I realized....She-Ra! Oh, and I agree.
