I found this in my collection from a few years back. It's beautiful! I love hearing Stevie talk, especially about her life and her work. Does anybody have any information on this or know where/when it is from? All I know is that it's called "Children Go On Poem". Listen!

I have always thought this was the prolouge to the book of her life that she was writing then. I think she has many of the chapters written and will publish it when she is ready. But, I think it is mostly written. I mean this was over a decade ago and she was commiting her memories to print while they were still, as she calls them, clear.

I love the video of her reading that poem from her journal -- Wasn't it was shot in her home in Phoenix or LA?? .... her and the girls sitting at the white piano playing Doing the Best is awesome...

Does anyone have the video of the reading and the song? I used to have it, but lost it in the crash of 98.
If so, I would love to see it. |
