Default I would rather go blind

First of all, I hope to god I got the title of the song right. I was just curious if this song charted in the U.K or anywhere else and if so, how high it got?

Is this the same as the Etta James song? I'm not sure who originally wrote it.

I don't know if Etta wrote it, but yeah, that's the song.

The liner notes of the CD say that the song was written by E. Jordan & B. Foster. I have no idea who these people are. It was a b-side to one of Etta James' singles that she recorded(not sure which one). It was a big hit in the U.K., the first of what turned out to be many, many Christine McVie hit singles. It was recorded with Chicken Shack. By the way, the official title of the song is "I'd Rather Go Blind".

The weird thing, for me, about Etta's "I'd Rather Go Blind" is that she sounds a lot like Stevie circa 1986. I've often wondered if that was ever lost on Christine over the years.
