This was in no way her goodbye tour. Don Henley DID NOT back out of Two Voices..he had limited availability based on his committments to the Eagles Tour. I predict another Fleetwood Mac album will be next and a tour. It took her 7 years to get Trouble In Shangri-La finished. It went through many producers and different incarnations until she felt good about releasing it. I think that would be a daunting task to take on at this time in her life. A new Fleetwood Mac project would be less pressure and more support from the band.
I agree that this was not her "goodbye tour." But it's well-documented that Don Henley DID back out - he even said so himself in several published interviews. He blew off the July dates to save his voice for the Eagles re-grouping in August. Albuquerque, Phoenix and Vegas were all added after the initial June-July dates were released.

Yep - he backed out of it - so she went on for the dates, being the trooper she is

Oh, so Stevie doesn't understand the concept of saving your voice

and giving priority to the band you've been a member or for 30-odd

years???

Whenever she talks about him, she always says, "My friend Don Henley."

Just opinion of course, but I'm sure she understood.

Could it just maybe be possible that all this went down without any

drama at all???

"Don: Uhm, Stevie I'm SORRY but I need to save my voice - I think

maybe I can only do shows for the first half of the tour."

"Stevie: Oh, OKAY! HEY, did you see 'Judging Amy' last night?

It was SO cool! Uh, pass me my MICROPHONE, WOULD you!?"

Why do you doublespace your entire post, & line it all up in poetry/stanza format, with bizarre caesuras & enjambment? Is it an attempt on your part to simulate the look & feel of a Stevie Nicks journal?

Stevie just lost her father of almost 60 years... i think writing new songs and coming out with a new album is probably the furthest thing from her mind right now...

is it possible that this great loss will inspire her?? perhaps... but on the same token, it may make her reflect on her home life and want to spend more time with her mom from now on - thus no new album, no new songs, no new tours..
those are Real Tears...she will be back..soon!

If I were Stevie, the last thing I'd want my fans doing is speculating on how I'm going to funnel my grief and making predictions on whether I'll do a new album or retire.

I think the only thing to do is offer condolences, make a donation to AHI if possible, and then chill out and let the woman grieve. This talk is disrespectful, whether she is aware of conversations here or not.
No one is being disrespectful..chillout!

Exactly!! And for the record--once again--I DON'T think this was her last tour--I was responding to what OTHERS think!!

No...... I wasn't a huge Don fan before the show--and am still not!! But I definitely like him better now than I did. We did the All Access thing and were in the first row right in front of Sharon and Jana........
