Default Nickel Creek 'When in Rome'

Nickel Creek's new album"Why Should the Fire Die?" really pushes the limits of bluegrass and Americana type music and is a great listen .The first single "When in Rome "is a killer tune and somehow reminded me a bit of "The Chain" maybe it's the darkness of the song, the three part harmonies and the accomplished finger picking.

I am totally going to pick up their new record. I love Nickel Creek. Their second record wasn't as strong as their first. But I'm excited to see what they do for the third one.

And I have a huge crush on Chris Thile. He plays the mandolin and wears cute little sweaters! *swoon*

I bought "This Side" after hearing them on NPR a couple of years ago. Didn't know they had a new one out. I'll have to pick it up. They're enjoyable.

I KNOW! The mandolin and the little sweaters! Come one! How can that be any cuter? I saw them on Austin City Limits and was immediately swooning as soon as I saw him. Then I bought their first record and my heart melted even more the more I heard the boy sing. Such a sweet, swoonworthy voice!

I thought he was married, but I could be wrong. I remember their playing on campus just when they were starting to break. I think he left the university as I was beginning my first year there.
