Question Favorite Sounds?

What are your favorite sounds - other than music or specific voices of musical artists?

Some of mine:

The wind through trees - when it sounds like a raging waterfall
waterfalls
rain
When my dog "talks to me" lol
when my dog is happy to see me and gets all "grunty"
My nephew's laugh
My nephew's cute little voice

Default sounds...

Some of mine:

The springler going back and forth on a hot summer day-

The tick-tock of the clock that my Father left me (It's an old wall clock that has a key to wind it up-neat tick tock rythym)-

The breeze through my windchimes, lower notes and especially relaxing-

Waves crashing on the sand from an ocean storm-

The sounds / cries of the Loon's at night, on the lake-

Sleet falling against my bedroom window-

Wood logs crackling in the fireplace, and the roar of the fire too-

My dog's tail wagging in the morning when we get up- (Every morning same thing- He hears us stirring and starts waggiong his tail and it hits the bureau, so it's always thump, thump, thump to wake us up.-

My husband's laugh-

Just a few of mine...

^^^

Great ones!!!

I, too, like the ocean sound on rocks and sleet on my window...and there is something so comforting about wind chimes to me - they remind me of being at my grandma's when I was little.

Here are some I'll add:

The squeeky wheel sound effect they use on Scooby Doo
Marimba played well

Heart sounds

Nothing else in the universe compares to the sound of a beating heart. [/QUOTE]

My Father-in-law had to have two valves replaced in his heart, and they are the mechanical type. If it is very quiet in the room and you are sitting next to him, you can her a click-clack sound....It's cool... and it reminds us that we can thank medical technology, that we still have him around

That is the most random thing, EVER!! Zoiks! LMAO!! Awesome.

I love being outside when it's snowing, it's so peaceful and quiet. We don't get snow very often, but when it does, it's so calming to be out in it.

After Candy (my dog) passed away, we went to Garden Ridge and I bought some wind chimes. Everytime I hear them, I think of her speaking to me. I love the sound they make.

A sound I hate...a phone ringing...gah...HATE!!

A sound I hate is my co-workers cell phone that pages him. "Paging John, party of one. Your call is ready. Paging John party of one...."

Another sound that I cannot stand is a cell phone ring called "city bird." Anyone familiar with that one? It's pretty damn annoying.

Now someone's going to say they have that one on their phone.

Rain
Fire
Windflute
Children's voices
A running train
Water (sea, river, etc)
Horse walking
Bandoneon played by Astor Piazzolla
Tennis noises
The buzz before a theatre play starts
The audience's silence watching a play
The silent moments in a composition
The page turning in a book.

..etc ... etc
