Default Remaking Taylor Dayne

I was just watching this on VH1 and the stylist they had working with Taylor Dayne said he wanted to do a "Janis Joplin/Stevie Nicks kind of look" for her. I thought it was kind of funny because the premis of the show is how no one is interested in older (female) recording artists. It was really embarrasing for her. They showed her performing at Epcot or something with hardly anyone there, and mostly just people who were walking through the park and just curious. I laughed when they mentioned Stevie, because I thought that even though her popularity has had it's ups and downs, she never got to that point. They were saying how older female artists have to reinvent themselves to be successfull. Isn't it funny that the stylist wanted to use Stevie as an example to "reinvent" Taylor Dayne, when Stevie is a female artist who never changed her style?

i saw this too, & thought it was funny also~ but i will say, that my ma who lives in vegas & used to wrk for the MGM grand was given 2 free tix to go & see taylor around mayb 5-7 years ago~ she said her voice was strong & beautiful, but it struck my mom funny how much taylor was trying to copy stevie's chiffon, hanky hem, big boots look~

I watched this when they first aired it. I think the song they made her sing sucked majorly.

I think Taylor Dayne has a great voice and could do so much better, but this show was tragic. Baby girl needs to lay off the collagen.
