when i registered, i just used my aim name. and the triple-x has nothing to do with porn. it's just kind of how i sign my name online: ...M.

and i thought of the perfect username the day after i registered. i'm not telling because i don't want someone to snag it up, and i was very surprised that it wasn't already taken.

how'd everyone come up with their usernames?

I went with mine because at the time it was my song, and I also because I thought it was woefully underappreciated (and still do). It's almost a year later and I've moved on, though. It's kind of ridiculous to make your username your "currrent" favorite song, since we all have lots of those. Lately my favorite underappreciated Stevie song is "Sable on Blond," which I've noticed someone snatched up as a username.

I went with eclipse because I thought it was "different" although connected to the Sister of the Moon, and Stevie's infatuation with the moon too. And I also LOVE all things LUNAR- I collect moon stuff- jewelry, photos, artwork, books, etc.

So my name is my dream of the moons' peace and presece I guess- I could never use a fav song cuz they always change with my moods Different all the time.

Right now I have been listening to It's Alright/Designs of Love...rather country influenced (Which I don't care for at all- County is about the only flavor of music I don't listen to- But, something about that tune enchants me , so I listen and sing along...

So that's my name story and I am sticking to it

BTW- back in 1984, I bought a brand new car and I just had to have GYPSY as my license plate-and I did. It is still sitting in my cellar- but I never thought of calling myself that name??

Well I couldn't think of anything creative, snappy and Fleetwood-maccy when I signed up for the Ledge - so I thought, "well I'm a Drummer. My name's Deanna..." and well the rest, as they say...is history!

I chose mine because it was one of the very first lines of Stevie's that I remember hearing and rewinding the cassette to hear over and over again. "She is like a cat in the dark, and then, she is the darkness..." I still love it.

Mine's not too tough to figure out, since my name is Victoria. However, I actually hate the name Vicky. I know I've said this before in another thread, but my screen name or whatever comes from an inside joke with a friend/former coworker of mine (and has nothing to do with potato chips).

I was a receptionist for about four years. Apparently I have a very sexy phone voice. I've had several people tell me that I should either work for a 900 number or become a late night DJ. One of those people was my now former manager, who said I should call myself "Miss Vicky" and go to work as a phone sex operator. I haven't worked with her in about three years but she still asks "How much is it per minute?" whenever she calls me.

I'm a member of a few other message boards and use the same name there.

The pay is quite stellar from what I hear. Getting paid to talk on the phone? I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I use mine everywhere because I know that no one ever would have such a nonsensical name on any board, and it always confused me when a person had a different user name for each board. Therefore, every board I'm on - I'm SodaScouts. Tada!

I've already gone over how I chose "SodaScouts" before so I won't go into now - just that it shows my appreciation for both caffeinated beverages and To Kill a Mockingbird.

I've used 'Dark Angel' since before I got on the net. I was on a computer BBS (bulletin board system), and was invited to join one that my future husband ran. Before 'Dark Angel', I was going by SorceressRhiannon, and at first, used that when I went to his BBS...at least till I realized an ex-bf was on there. So I emailed him to change it, and had no idea what to use. He was going by Dark Shadow, so I decided Dark Angel sounded good....this was before hearing any Stevie demos, or even 'Insider', so I had no idea it was used in a song till I came online and someone asked if was a fan of "Insider".
It's sort of stuck with me over the years.

this is my real name, and i liked it because of the buckingham nicks instrumental so I decided to post with it. I like it because it is easy!
