The song "STORMS"

[nwestohiofan]

By far my all time favorite...I have the demo...but was wondering....has this ever been done live? Did they perform "Storms" during the 1979/1980 "Tusk" Tour? Anyone know of any bootlegs of this? I would love to see her close a show with this song.

Storms is probably my favorite too. I wish Stevie would perform it live but she never has.

Storms is also one of my fav's. Now that she has done Sara again during SYW we should now campaign for this song to be performed live.

By the way I'm in Ohio, too. I live near Columbus

I would say Storms is probably my all time favorite. I feel something when I hear those first few chords start up.

[GypsyNomad]

Storms is one of my absolute favorite songs..... Once again it proves her incredible songwriting ability, as well as the beauty of simplicity. The first time I heard this song & she sang:

So I try to say
Goodbye my friend
I'd like to leave you with something warm
But never have I been a blue calm sea
I have always been a storm

Her voice cracks a little, like she's about to cry. It broke my heart.... she has a way of pulling you into her world for a few moments, and you begin to feel everything she's feeling....and you just get her

Am I the only one that can't stand this song?

Eh, it doesn't do much for me. Beautiful Child blows this song out of the water if you ask me.

It's not really a boot but there is a version with just Lindsey on guitar.

Pssh. Storms rules Beautiful Child. It steals its lunch money on the playground every day.

Beautiful Child blows compared to Storms. Lyrically there is no comparison. It would be a good song for Michael Jackson to cover.

Sleepless child
There is so little time
Your eyes say yes
But you don't say yes
I wish that you were mine

Need I say more?

I know I've said this before, but Storms was the reason I became a fan. I can't even describe how much this song makes me feel and how much I love it. I would pay almost any amount of money to hear her do it live. In my opinion, BC can't hold a candle to it. No way. BC is awesome on its own, but Storms makes me cry everytime I hear it. Literally. Everytime. Tusk was just the most incredible album ever made.

And sticks its head in the pot and flushes.

Though I'm a bit more eager for Sisters.
I want Sisters, Storms, & Straight Back!
But apparently New Additions = Covers in Stevie's mind.
