God's Rottweiler disapproves of the Harry Potter books?!?
All the more reason to buy 'em and read 'em!

Possibly.
Now, my friend, don't buy into other people's notions of what being a "good person" is.
Smoking, drinking, having sex... none of that automatically makes you a bad person. Yeah, they're "vices" and they can sometimes take over our lives and keep us from moving forward... but they don't disqualify us from being good people.

How do you treat people? Are you generous and compassionate, or do you always put yourself ahead and think only of what you can gain from situations? If it's the latter, then, yeah, that's something to work on. And how about those vices? Are you hurting anyone else when you engage in that behaviour? Or just yourself from a health standpoint?
Everyone goes through a "hedonistic" period... it's how we learn and grow. Some people get trapped there though.
The trick is to make it work for you, and to let it be a learning experience.

In my book, a "good person" is characterized by how they treat others. We ALL have our vices, but those vices certainly don't make us "bad people." Just human.

I agree, and disagree. Maybe thats my problem Johnny Stew. Growing up in the 'fear of the Lord' and living in constant condemnation have done it to me! =) Anyway...I figure it some ways it possibly kept me from bad things that could've happened to me. I look back, and regret not being more sexually promiscuous. That's a weird thing to admit, but I could have gotten several girls that I just overlooked. But part of me has to say, well I could have an STD today, because for years I didnt use condoms. So it all has its plus and minuses.

I never understood why how many people you sleep with is such a big deal. I'd rather have mindblowing sex with one person than mediocre sex with a bunch of people.

Oh that's true too. I didnt mean it from a "notch on my belt" standpoint. I've only slept with....hmm...better keept that one to myself. I can count them on two hands, lets just leave it at that...!

At any rate, there were two girls in particular that I can think of that I could have slept with. There may have been a chance for a relationship too...but then again my life could've gone in a completely different direction had I done so. So i guess i DIDNT sleep with them for a reason.

I was raised Catholic, so I understand.
Eventually I just decided I wasn't going to let guilt and repression hold me back. I'd make moralled choices based on what I believe to be right ("never harm others," "be compassionate"), and pay no attention to what organized religion says.

I'm the same way, Krista. I'm unimpressed by numbers or the amount of experience a guy has. In fact, if they've slept with a ton of guys, I usually lose interest. I prefer someone who values quality over quantity, and has discriminating tastes.

My friends often chided me for not trading on my looks or youth, but that's just not how I'm wired. I much preferred waiting for the right guy and the right time.
I do have to admit I get a kick out of hearing about all of the latest conquests of a good friend of mine though. He's a self-avowed "man-whore," and it's hysterical (and often sexy in a "fantasy" way) to hear about his experiences with a wide variety of guys.

For me there is either "making love" or justy plain "sex". What two consenting adults do is their own choice. I have to have the "Love" factor and could never do one-night-stands. But each their own. I am just old fashioned, I like to know their favorite color atleast.

I think you just have to feel good about it, whether it's your first partner or your hundredth. Generally, I like to know someone first, as well.

My last relationship lasted five years. Keeping things spicy was part of the fun. I honestly never considered looking elsewhere.

Yeah, and Sparky disapproves of the pope and all he represents. The real tragedy is that there are people who actually take that yammering, snaggle toothed, bargain basement Yoda seriously.
