I think Mick has a heart & is basically a sentimental old fuddy-duddy. Do you remember that telling moment in the 1990 Rock Steady show when the camera is slowly zooming in on Mick's face as he is being asked something about the band -- something about how love kept them together -- & Mick gets very quiet & you can tell he's getting a lump in his throat & his eyes get a bit watery, & all he can manage to say is something like, "I never really thought of it that way, but that's very true." And he is quiet again -- he's overcome & he can't finish speaking.

At moments like that, I really love Mick. I mean, I love Mick anyway, but sometimes I forget that I love Mick when he's packaging piss-poor products & pawning them off on susceptible Fleetwood Mac fans.
