Oh, shoot. I saw it on the news, and they were talking about people lining up and such. Clearly, i wasn't paying close attention.

I can't WAIT!! I'm going to Harry Potter Midnight Madness Party -and I've already got my book on reserve...it sucks because I"m moving early the following morning - but I don't care...GOTTA GET MY HARRY!!!!

Wow, you are dedicated!!! Yes, I'm pretty excited, I just read all of them this year. Also, I'm about to read the last in the series of my "unknown mystery" books, and the past few Harry Potters have been nice and thick, which i like. Plus, he's so old now!!! So, it's like, I hardly had to wait between books, which is nice. It's only been about a month since I finished the last one. I'm actually glad I waited so long to read them.

Wow, I just made it to this board for the first time today. Look what I've been missing! Oh and I don't want to be popular, I just want to spend countless wasted hours analyzing and talking about Stevie Nicks when I could be doing so many other productive things. Is that so wrong?

OMG - I love these books so much - I've read them all twice now -

So you enjoyed them then? Always glad to hear about another HP fan - who reads the books...people who say they are HP fans but have only seen the movies don't count

Yeah - but it looks like Miss Deanna is the huge fan!!!

No, I love them, but I only read them all this past year. But still, I can't wait. In the first ones, I was sad they were so thin, but the last couple got really huge, and I loved it. The movies are okay, I've only seen one, actually - but books are always better. Are you going to a midnight party, too?

Hey, Amber, it doesn't matter if you read them within the last year or the last week - it's just cool that you gave them a shot - I've a friend who REFUSES to read them. He tries to discuss the movies with me and I shoot him down lol - I'm mean like that

Anyway - I'm also loving that the most recent books are so long!!!

I'm dying to find out who dies in this one!

Actually, I didn't read them for a long time on purpose, too, I thought they were inferior to other types, like, Narnia and The Wrinkle in Time series. I'm so dumb, they are kind of normal, but I still really like them.
What if it's Dumbledore? who do you think it is? Snape? that would be awesome if it was Snape, but I bet it's not...for your friend to discuss the movies with you without reading the books seems kind of absurd...

Well - he's quite an absurd person. Mostly he tries to convince me that movies are better than books....without having read the books. It infuriates me - perhaps if he'd at least read one book I would listen - but no.

I don't know who could possibly die - I just hope it's not a Weasley

Ugh - there have been SO many Rumours - but JK Rowling has a lovely little website where she dispells rumours and give info out first hand:

omg. I work part-time at a bookstore, and we're having a party... and lucky me gets to work a 9-hour day at my day job, then come straight to the store for a 6PM-3AM shift for our party. *facepalm* I'm going to be dead on my feet.

I went to a party for Order of the Phoenix, and it was so much fun. I just wish I didn't have to work this one.

Random rant- my best friend in the universe just got engaged. Not only do I now have to get good about my health, so I don't look like a beached whale walking down the aisle, but I get to start worrying about our friendship becoming one of those single girl/married girl friendship horror story cliches. I'm way too young for that crap.
