To Siskel and Ebert review Charlie and the Chocolate factory. Strangely, two thumbs up, but they both gave Depp bad reviews. Said he reminded them of a cross between Michael Jackson and Carol burnette, and that he didn't create a very memorable character. They were both suprised, cause he's usually so good.

I'm hoping this is a good movie. I want to go see it this Friday.

I'm very worried about this movie. I was incredibly psyched for it, but after seeing the previews, Depp looks obnoxious as all get out (and actually looks like Jackie O), and the set designs and the overall look of the movie are putrid. Insanely bright colors and too modern. Not to mention the fact that they removed the geese that lay the golden eggs with ****ing SQUIRRELS THAT OPEN NUTS.

I think that's how it is in the book. I haven't read the book since high school but I vaguely remember squirrels in the novel.

squirrels that open nuts. That's priceless.
The old one was very bright and modern colored, too, if I recall correctly. I know you think they're lame, but Sisk and Rope gave it good review despite Depp. It looked pretty neat to me, in the review, and the child actors looked good. But I'm not a huge fan of the original. However, comparing Gene Wilder to what I saw of Depp, that really might be a huge disappointment. But remember, Tim Burton stuff usually turns out pretty cool. Good luck!!

The Violent Femmes are love. <3

Now it's The Boomtown Rats - I Don't Like Mondays. Oh, Bob Geldof. This song is too scary and insane to be so catchy, and it's beautifully arranged. Wtf.
