Question Touring During Storms

Bless the people of the Gulf Coast for what is about to hit them. My favorite place in the world is Navarre Beach Florida, about 12 miles west of Pensacola. I pray that everyone is safe and that property damage is minimal.

Looking at Stevie's schedule she has the show in Virginia tonight and then heads to Tampa. How could this hurricaine affect her touring schedule? Wouldn't it be hard to get those busses and trucks down there with so many people leaving or coming back home?

Then after her show Thursday in Fort Lauderdale she heads for Houston and the only way you can get there is that Highway 10 that runs from Florida to Texas and right through all those gulf coast states where this hurricaine is about to hit.

I guess we won't know until it happens, but how would they handle problems associated with a hurricaine? Do you see them maybe rescheduling Florida or anything? I'm just curious and slightly selfish because I am dying for next Sunday to get here safely.

Patty

I've been concerned about this too - but it looks like Dennis is going to make landfall any minute now...I think the worst weather the band and crew may encounter after tonight's show in Bristow, VA would be some rain. They'll be further east and southeast of Dennis...and by the time they start heading to Texas, things should be clear and safe for that drive. I'm no meteorologist, but that's my prediction!

Hope everyone in the path of Dennis stays out of harm's way!!

I hope the storms steer away from Stevie, Now I remember going up to Saratoga Springs NY upstate New York. going to the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. to see her perform, will when I got there the place was a mess, all the fans were streaming in and going back home. I sat in the car wondering what the hill happen here.and worring about Stevie's safety. So I got out to walk over to a local TV news van in the parking lot to see what happen . The news reporter said , a tornado ripped through the area a couple hours earlier. and the concert was canceled because of no power and a big mess. I not from the area so I had no way knowing about the show been canceled out.So two and a half hour drive up here to see no Stevie. I did'nt care about the ride and the canceled show tickets. I was so upset about missing Stevie live. Good Luck down there.

Actually, Stevie's schedule fits freaking perfectly into avoiding the storm. Shes playing Virginia tonight where the storm wont even begin to reach til at least tomorrow. And then she plays Florida in 3 days, in cities that I belive weren't even effected by the storm directly. We really shouldnt be worried about Stevie and the storm, a few million in people in North Florida and Alabama, maybe, but not Stevie.

I was worried about the trucks and busses making it back out of Florida on I-10, but it seems this storm wasn't as bad as Ivan last year. I am glad that everyone is safe and no major property damage has been reported and no loss of life. For that, I am thankful. I am ELATED that I will be seeing Stevie in Dallas next Sunday and this storm didn't stop them at all.
