Default NASA Deep Impact

It's currently 1:52am and the impactor spacecraft is set to make it's impact on the comet Tempel 1 very soon. I just went outside and unfortunately, I think there will be too much cloud cover for me to see anything. Supposedly we'll be able to see when it hits. Anyone else going out for a look?

Believe it or not, I've been in this city for four years this month & I still haven't visited NASA. And I have friends who work there. (What are they, friggin' rocket scientists? Yep. )

I'm jealous. If I lived that close, i'd absolutely have to go--especially later this month for the Return To Flight launch. Rocket Scientists, eh? Very cool. Wish that I was better in math--a career like that would be fascinating. I still can't believe all of the calculations led them to a direct hit on the comet (yes, I do have on my nerd glasses at present).

Space never intrigued me, even as a kid.

I honestly don't know what it is about it that piqued my interest or why I became so fascinated by it. Far too many Earth Science classes, I suppose.
