It was my first stevie nicks concert, and my first concert ever and I got INCHES from touching her hand (my mom was there too). Which reminds me I was given a guitar pick by the security guards (who were nicer then) and I gotta remember what I did with it...

PLEASE send me a private message so we can work something out

And how good is the sound quality on it? Just curious

She brings up Waddy's name in a side context near the end of that passage. If you believe by doing so, she's saying Waddy was once her lover, OK by me. Maybe he was? If the only reason to believe it is because of the Timespace liner notes, then I see it as a very thin argument. jmho. When reading things like that from Stevie I take into consideration the timeframe and remember what she was like, as well as what she was going through when Timespace was issued. To me, not everything is clear in black and white especially when it comes to Stevie. People see things differently. How can it be argued otherwise as with those who currently think she's doing Waddy now, and everyone else in the band, just because she's being openly flirty on stage during this tour as she was last night? Everyone's got a different take on these things. I look at the big picture not just selected details. The devils in the details, so who knows?

OK, so you think that she is talking about someone else before she mentions WADDY. So talks about this mystery man who she says: I adored him...he was everything I wanted to be: a real rock and roller ... and a lover of the Stones...small and frail sometimes, but in many ways the strongest person I had ever known. His word was law. I became him ... he became me, and no one dared intrude upon this union. He is no longer with me, but his spirit twin never leaves him. is not Waddy but a fake character that Stevie just made up. It certainly does not fit any member of The Mac so we can rule that out right there.
Oh maybe it was Joe Walsh!! He and Waddy are friends, too He certainly is a real rocker, too but I am not too sure about the Stones lover. He might be strong due to his daughter’s death. The other thing that does not make sense is that Stevie was not involved with him till after she wrote this song. I wonder if it might be one of her premonition songs. It really does seem to fit him oddly enough because she did fall hard for him but he did not feel the same way.
It still seems odd that she would mention Waddy's name when she might be talking about Joe or someone else.

Peace!
That is cool that Joe Walsh was there, I guess that they must be on speaking terms. Stevie really was in love with him. It must have been hard to sing that song with him being there.
Do we even know if Joe is still married? Maybe HenleyFan would know.

Can I ask some questions? I'm fairly new to all this. Not new to my love of Stevie or FM , but new to some of these theories. I have my opinions about that passage that Stevie wrote and I do think she wrote it about Waddy for the reasons that everyone else listed above. One of my questions is: why do people think Stevie is dating/sleeping with or in love with Lindsey? I'm not sure who thinks it and who doesn't but after reading all 21 pages of this thread, I think I know who might think he is and who definitely doesn't. I really don't know who Stevie is with and I suspect Waddy, but he is married. So, I don't know. Joe is also married. The people that I *think* think she's in some sort of a thing with Lindsey seem to feel Stevie wouldn't be with a married man, but Lindsey's married. So, this is confusing. Can someone please fill me in.

People who believe that Lindsey and Stevie are in love are called 'Shippers" and I am not really qualified to describe them so maybe someone else can.

I really have no idea who Stevie is with if she is with anyone. I don't care. I know that some people think that Stevie and Lindsey had an affair during The Dance. OK I don't know if that is true or not nor do I care. Then there are a few people who still think that they are together and always have been. Do I care? NO. Do I think that they have their opinion? YES.
However, when saying that everything that Stevie has ever done or written about in the long run goes back to Lindsey then I have a bit of a problem with that one. A few people in the Stevie world seem to think that Ms. Nicks has only ever really loved Mr. Buckingham and never anyone else.
It really is hard for some people to believe that Stevie could love, Mick or Waddy or Joe Walsh, etc. I don't know why this is but if she said that she loved Lindsey they certainly would not question it.
Like I said, I have no idea who she loves but to always focus on Lindsey as her one and only love seems a bit odd to me.
I still think that she loves Joe Walsh.

Hmm. Well, Stevie herself has said that Joe was the man who broke her heart, so I'd say she loved or loves him. I also believe she loved Mick and Waddy and both were very deep loves. She's said so and written about it, either in passages (like the one above) or in songs. BATB is about Mick. The liner notes are one thing, but she kept saying his name before performing the song at several shows this year. Why would she do that or make that connection if the song weren't about or for Mick? Just because she likes the sound of his name and conveniently likes to say it right before that song? I also don't know who she's with and only care or am interested because I'm interested in everything she does, not just her romantic life. But I would say that she loved Lindsey at one time and I'm sure still loves him in some way, but not in a romantic way. And I have my reasons but I'm 99.9% sure he's not with her. If Lindsey is spending his time with someone behind closed doors, it's not Stevie.

On edit: I'm still , but thanks for answering my questions.

Ok..you dropped the hint so why are you 99.9 percent sure Lindsey isn't with Stevie? Do you know what else is going on in his life right now too? Isn't he spending his time behind closed doors with his "wife"? How about what Stevie is up to unrelated to this tour? I could care less who she is with as long as she is happy. The idea she loved Waddy so deeply in any romantic way seems out there to me though. She said Micks name before BaTB TWICE this year, both show he was at. So that is proof of nothing really. (oh except that Stevie does think of him occassionally when performing the song and has a deep love for him) Do you really think people have just pulled this opinion out of their ass or perhaps they are basing it on some things unrelated to her two quotes on the song? You know what, nevermind.

Other men..of course she has loved other men. I told ya'll Joe was at the show last night. I am sure that means something romantic. It can't just be an old love, whom sh e has remained friends with. In the last two weeks, Stevie has been shagging Don, Waddy, Mick and Chris Issack. If some people want to believe she is hitting LB too, who gives a crap?

Shipper is a derogatory term labelling those who think SnL have some unfinished business. I don't give a rats ass but I can see the obvious. I haven't heard any new love songs about Waddy. None about Mick. None about Don. None about Joe. I am 99.9 percent sure there are huge things going on right now, that many of you know you are fully aware of but are unwilling to rock the boat. (or out of respect for Stevie)

Really? Girlfriend sure is busy. Though I find it rather insulting that a hottie like Chris Isaak is in the same company as Don, Waddy, and Mick. But I suppose she has to have some redeeming sense of taste.

I have to jump into the fray. I've been around a long time, but normally do not post. I felt the need to respond to something a fellow poster mentioned.

Is it just me or does anyone else thinks it pure coincidence that LB's house finally closed and that suddenly SN closed on her new, HUGE Malibu home, all in the same week? Ummmm

And by the way, when has Stevie ever bought a home in LA before? Wonder why she would do that?
