To be fair, I used the entrance to The Towers when I stayed there last month. You drive right into the garage and they let you off at the door that goes into a small, far less crowded lobby. It's just more convenient than trying to schlep your luggage through the huge main lobby.

i hate those things.... i mean, you scan your sh*t... put it in the grocery bags, and yet you still have to page someone to come over to do your coupons for you and to run your credit card for you... which takes more time than having a regular cashier do the whole thing. and besides- i can't pack my groceries as well as the bag boy can- he knows which stuff should go in which bags together- my bags usually tear the way i do it. stupid stupid invention!

I hate them too...My problem with them always seems to be putting lightweight things on the little belt...it sends them back..and then the damned help light starts flashing, I'm like UGH!!

Henley was 2 floors below us. The Waldorf also has a more ritzy part...the Towers. The Towers has its own private entrance. As far as we know, the members of FM stayed in the Towers.

During the weekend, inductees were all over the hotel....eating in the restaurants...chatting with each other in the hallways. We didn't see any of Fleetwood Mac until the night of the ceremony. The members of the Eagles and Santana came in and checked in like everyone else...using the same entrance everyday people did. I will never forget Don getting off the elevator holding a little shopping bag (the airline had lost his luggage) and looking for the rest of the band. We were told that FM used the private entrance in the Towers.

At the ceremony, each inductee had their own tables. The Eagles had 2 tables and had the longtime members of their road-crew there. The road-crew were like us....they didn't have seats, but the band kept passing them food...especially desserts. FM didn't sit together...it's possible that some of them were at tables elsewhere, but there wasn't a band section like there was for the Eagles. It just seemed odd. When it was time for FM to perform, they just showed up...they hadn't sat through the rest of the ceremony like everyone else.

It's nothing weird for rock-stars....just that night it was interesting to see the Eagles...a band that has a rep for not getting along sitting and joking together like it was a family celebration.

I honestly don't remember much about FM's speeches. It seemed they just went through the motions on their performance (to be fair...the Eagles did as well)..... What really seemed odd is that I recognized what they wore from The Dance. It seemed like FM was wearing their stage costumes and that it was just another performance. The highlight of the night was Santana. I remember standing there....trying to avoid Phil Spector and going WHOA....this is awesome. The other thing that didn't make the broadcast was Nona Hendryx's Dusty Springfield tribute...she did Son of a Preacher Man and it was stupendous.

I almost always stay in The Towers Oh Well!!!!!

FYI - Stevie probably stayed in The Towers because only The Towers allows dogs, the reg. Waldorf does not. Trust me on that one as my dogs have been

Also, security is easier to control in The Towers. I have run into from Henry Kissenger on down in there and their rooms are usually at the end of halls with security at the entrance to those halls. Just a thought. Also, many stars have lived in The Towers.

Oh, I wasn't so much referring to the color as to the fact that all of a sudden he had hair again at all....it's a good wig though, as wigs go.

He had hair again? Are we talking about the same Joe Walsh? Joe doesn't have a wig.

Yeah--its not a wig. I met Joe Walsh in April in AC, and it is actual hair in my opinion.

I remember him pretty much having a ratty, combover like thing going on in the 80's and then wearing a lot of hats for a very long time.....but I have to admit that I am not that big a fan....I was certain that hair wasn't real. Seemed a lot thinner than that 20 years ago.

No, Joe's hair isn't thinning.....it is receding, though. The one with the thinning hair is Henley. The short, spikey hair is to disguise how thin it really is and to hide the huge bald spot he has in the back. I wish he'd get plugs!

Joe was on Howard Stern on TV the other night. I only watched a few minutes.

Did Howard ask Joe about you-know-who?

If you mean Stevie, no. They mostly talked about Joe being sober and how and why he got sober.
