Default My Chicago Photos

I have to get my roll of photos reprinted. They cut them wrong so I have to take them to a real lab today instead of Wal-Mart.

Here's one that turned out. I'll post more later.

Good photo!

So, how was the Chicago show? Don's kids there for Father's Day? I heard from a friend that it was a great show.

Oh, BTW..what is the song that Don sings third about? "I've Put a Spell on You"....my friend said Don really sang this song with alot of emotion and conviction in Chicago. He sang it with enough passion that she stood up and took notice of the song, so we were wondering what the song is written about.

I was watching the Eagles on Bravo and I see my man Will played for them as well. Swoon.

Thanks. The photos are being reprinted as I type. I'll have them back later this afternoon. Stupid Wal-Mart.

The show was really good....probably the 2nd best of the four we saw.

I Put a Spell on You is a cover of an old song. I know Creedence Clearwater Revial covered it. Others have too. I'm surprised no one picked up on Don's little magic/witch/Halloween trio to open the show: The Genie, Witchy Woman, and I Put a Spell on You. I think it was kind of clever on his part and shows he put a little thought into his set.

I didn't see Don's family and no one mentioned them so I don't think they were at the show. He probably flew home right afterwards anyway.

Will is a hottie. We talked to Scott Cargo a bit before the show. He's such a sweetie.

Hey L&M...

I was wondering..
Has your opinion changed at all about Stevie..now that you have seen her? Had you seen her before? And if you have not..what did you think of her set?

The Eagles were my band until about 1997 when I saw " The Dance" Concert on MTV. I even think I got a bootleg from The " Hell Freezes Over" Tour from you back in the day. By the way..you have a great website..its been my source for Eagles news since 1995 ( or whenever you started it) thanks much for all your hard work. But anyway...tell me what you thought of Stevie....

Thanks for being here and sharing the other side of the coin's view with all of us.

Yeah...well I picked up on it but I didn't know if those songs were his staples and I didn't want anyone to mistake my observation for being all "OMG!! OMG!! he's so in love with Stevie!!!".

Hey, Henley Fan, that's a great pic. I look forward to seeing the rest. Did you post a review somewhere? I'd love to read it.

Thanks.

What a fantastic photo L&M. That is my favorite Don/Stevie pic. Thanks for sharing and I can't wait to see more.

I'm giving up on my Don with Stevie in Dallas dream, as Taku mentioned on his board that Dallas will be a quick, "in and out".

Eliud - I love your signature too! You are very creative. Do you make the beautiful clothes for your Stevie doll? I love looking at your collection at the Nicks Fix.

Take care,
Patty

I don't think it's love....it's more like that Don's sense of humor. He picks songs that are appropriate to the situation....like when he does political benefits he always sings something that he feels makes a statement.

I would love to hear your opinion also..... I was one of those--oh not Don Henley...people--but you know--I really enjoyed the show and Don did rock I've always liked music from the Eagles--I didn't care too much for Don's solo stuff though--but after going to the concert I think he is pretty cool!!

Thanks so much! I'm glad you like it - I've been thinking about this banner for a while and I'm looking forward to the movie, eventhough I expect it'll suck. And I've done a couple of new outfits for the doll (Sorcerer, red Richard Taylor(?) jacket/skirt, and some dusters and shawls) but I really want to do that Beauty and the Beast thing she's been wearing lately. Maybe soon.

Great photo - can't wait to see the rest! I do remember him saying "Halloween came early," but I still think "Genie" wasn't the best opener, lol.

Here are the rest of them. Considering I was in a side section and had security guards right in front of me, they aren't bad. I'm not sure which one I like the best.

Hope you enjoy them.

Your photos are fantastic!! I love them. You used the Canon Rebel 35mm? What kind of lens did you use? I just got a catalog of 35mm photography equipment today and I am dying to get a new lens.

Thanks. I was a little disappointed I didn't get more. It was just too darn light out when Don was onstage for his solo set. I had literally five security guys within two feet of me and they would have seen the camera. Don would have seen the camera too and that would be bad.

Yes, I did use the Rebel G. I have a Sigma 100-300mm zoom lens. I bought it a year or so ago because it's really small (about six inches) and light comparted to my old Canon 300mm zoom lens. It's really easy to hide.
