Rice ate her words long before the release to video. After she saw a screening of it, she remarked that Cruise's Lestat would be remembered like Olivier's Hamlet. She even took out an ad in heavily circulated papers like, I think, USA Today.

I always thought she was ****ing nuts, but I didn't know the true extent of it.

I loved the Indy movies as a kid and I love them now! I remember seeing The Last Crusade in the theater (like three times) lol - and that one does remain my favorite.

"HEY! No panting after 2 a.m.!"

"How can I fulfill your fantasy?"
"Go paint my house."

Nah, that movie was just awful. The sex scenes were hysterical, though, because they were so bad. Especially that one where the Australian is tied up and Dana Delany is beating him in the ass with her brush. Priceless.

I couldn't be bothered to read all this thread since I last popped my head in (too many pages of stuff to look thru!), so I don't know who is dissing Indy, but I love Indy too.
Such awesome movies! I can't think of one adventure movie like them that surpasses them today.
Ah, shame Harrison is too old (and weird) to play Indy now, although George Lucas apparently is still working on a script for Indy 4, so ya never know.

I heard the Indy 4 was already in the works

I wish they would just leave well enough alone though - Ford IS too old now...I want to just have the original three Indy's and remember them as they were

Well, DUH... Julia Roberts puts Rae Dawn Chong to shame (...that's the worst insult I could come up with...)

Nah. Too goody-goody Spielbergy hero-worship treacle. Just the thought of John Williams' score makes me go into a diabetic coma.

The tone of the whole movie was just like a Lifetime movie of the week. It is terrible.

It's in the works yes, and George apparently has just okayed the script. He rejected several before that including one by Frank Darabont that Spielberg was fond of.
It's up to Spielberg and Ford now, if they want to do it.
But yeah, I think it's a bad idea. Harrison looks like an old man these days - older than Sean Connery I think. I want to remember Indy as he was as well.
