I am not going to do the whole play by play thing again for last night but it was another fantastic show. Stevie was animated, fun, outgoing and energetic but I thought she looked much more tired up close. Vocals were awesome and BTB was incredible, along par with Vegas, with Stevie crying during the song. Circle Dance...Stevie skipped a verse and looked at Don with an "ooooppppsss". He laughed it off.
I need to comment on GDW...it was really fabulous. Stevie was in a zone, actually she appeared to be on her own planet....totally getting into the song with her eyes closed and much sensual slow dancing with exquisite arm motions. . The ending with the "babybabybababababyybabybabybababababaaaaa..you should see me now" was hot and not defiant like Philly. It was softer and more wistful and she was definately in her own world. The slow dance was long with Don twirling her about five times at the end. After the dance, Stevie walked up to the mic and said "that was fun!!" with a giggle. Security made everyone with cameras take them back to the car...as my two friends were taking their cameras back I asked why we had been allowed to take digitals at other shows. I was told Don Henley is bothered by the cameras. They were super strict on anyone who snuck their camera ion and I saw very few people even attempting to take photos. People were allowed up during Edge but immediately when it was over Marcus ushered everyone back to their row. Don was good but I thought he seemed to be having throat trouble...although my two friends thought he seemed fine. I thought he seemed like his throat was hurting periodically and his vocals sounded a bit strained at the beginning of the show. Don got much love, which I was happy about, he deserves it. I am amazed at how much of his original range he still has. I am in love with his keyboard player, back off Riss....although I still don't know his name.

Did you notice Waddy said, "That was sexy" to Don after Gold Dust Woman? Too funny!
Don's keyboard player is Will Hollis. He is definitely a cutie and a really nice guy......they're all nice guys, esp. Scotty the hottie Crago. L&M www.eaglesfans.com Quote:

That's too bad about the cameras. I did notice at Pitts that lots of people were using their flash - that's probably what the problem is.
Glad it was a good show. Now we wait & see if it got recorded. ![]() |

Girls...I LOVE you. I even checked out Don's shoes for you but apparently you were there! So.... Will. Hmmm...I dig him. He is just adorable. Married? Prolly. I thought I saw a ring on "the" finger. I was thinking I need to do another Don show to see him! More info please. I noticed Don was sans the wedding ring and the tools behind me were all stammering "oh yes..they are definately fuc@@@@ing"...during the GDW slow dance. I turned around and gave them the best "you drunken stupid fool" look I could muster. So...tell us. What did you think of Stevie? I am liking Don more and more....honestly the only song I am not into is The Genie and it is because I just don't know it. He is amazing vocally...and as I said above..his range is still great.

Sadly Will is married. He has at least one kid (his wife was pregnant at the RAC concert back a few years ago).
Don was incredibly adorable and the chemistry he has with Sevie is just so endearing. We'll have more comments about Stevie when we get home tonight or tomorrow. Haven't had time to process things totally yet. We thought once would be enough to see her and then we'd be sick of her...but it wasn't that bad Of course we spent a lot of the show saying, "...there needs to be more Don".Don even surprised us by changing his shoes mid-set. He must think cowboy boots go better with his ugly shirt than the work boots do. ![]() L&M Quote:

Well his boots are much nicer than Frankenbocks with bedazzler stones glued on the toes. Stevie is one eccentric cat. She has been really good energy wise and vocally lately. Her friendship with Don has brought out good things in her so I can't knock him. I have enjoyed his set at the shows I went to but I too, kept waiting for HC when La Nicks would come out. I really liked Don's first outfit, which was differnt from Philly. The denim shirt over the black looked sweet. I also liked how he dressed up at the end in the nice dress shirt and black jacket. I hope to hear you guys give a full recap on what you thought of the show. I knew hottie was married. I saw the ring but he is still mighty fine to look at. Plus he plays like a dream. Oh Paula...I think Brian MP3'd the show again. He said his next show is Chicago.

I don't really have much more to add (since I was made to go back to Kelly's car and drop off the digital ) but just a few notes. At the end of Circle Dance (which was incredible last night, btw), Stevie seemed rather sapped like the performance took a lot out of her. Don whispered something in her ear and she replied to him with "he would." Not a clue what that means but i've discovered i'm rather good at the art of lip-reading. Other than that Sharon and Jana were laughing and smiling a lot when Stevie and Don would interact and Jana and Don interacted a lot as well. There were some missed lyrics last night and points of certain songs where it seemed as though Stevie had trouble getting the words out She was too cute though. I loved B&TB...she was incredible and very emotional singing it last night. I've also noticed that filling in for Lori's backing vocals on that song, it seems that depending on which show you go to, Sharon and Jana switch off (at the "if you know, tell her...tell her now...AHHHHHHHHH," part). Really a beautiful performance last night. I was dissapointed that there was no Edge mic sharing between Sharon and Stevie (was Philadelphia the only show? ). Stevie pulled her mic around so she was facing Sharon as they sang but that was the extent. I will say Edge seemed to be a more forceful performance last night as opposed to when I saw her in Philadelphia. She seemed sort of angry or is that only me that noticed? Still a good time and a great show but for me, as a whole, not as good as opening night.

How hot is that guy up there??
She seemed to have trouble getting the words out during Don's set...at least compared to Philly. ![]()

Oh well, we can drool still. She really did--almost as if she was in slow-motion or something. It was incredibly strange.

I know at least one person managed to sneak a camera in and got video of the Stand Back twirl, but I hope somebody managed to video the whole show. I guess only time will tell.
BTW, Kelly, it was good to meet you... ![]() |

Thanks for the great reviews, Kelly and HenleyFan. I love the way they're mixing things up on this all-too-short-for-my-taste-not-getting-to-the-west-coast tour. I know the setlist is staying pretty much the same, but their interaction always seems to be tweaked differently from one show to the next. Very cool! Please let them do this next year! ![]()
