Hi everyone. I'm asking again because I've been listening to Castaway constantly lately. Anyone have the original unreleased #1? I've seen sites with bootleg lists that have a whole CD of various versions but they are not able to send them because I don't have anything to trade. Any help would be apreciated. Thank you.

Also, does anyone know if Castaway was ever covered by anyone? Just wondering.

Castaway is one of those songs I've just never "got." Make sense? Of all her beautiful songs, and renditions, Castaway never really sticks out in my mind. I'm gonna go pull em' all out. I think I maybe have 5 versions, and re-give the song a chance. What I do recall is the version from the UR standing out in my mind when I first heard those 3 albums, and I thought for sure that was someone faking a Stevie song. OK, so I was new to the whole demo thing and concept of her having unreleased material.

I have every one of these versions of Castaway, and would be happy to compile them to disc and mail them to you. Please PM me if you are still interested. If you only want the version listed as UR #1, I can e-mail that as well. To my knowledge, Castaway was never covered, though I'm terribly curious who Stevie is talking to when she says 'If you were doing it, I supposed you'd go "She's a castaway..." '
