Default "Stevie" is cockney slang!

Wha we gohn see ah the Stevie? Huh?

What's the matter? Don't you understand? I am asking you what movie you want to go see, but apparently you are too dense to understand. Just kidding. For those who do not live in East London, the word "Stevie" is slang for flicks - the movies. I just found this out from a couple of websites. Try here and here. Cockney slang has a formula. This example was created by finding something that rhymed with flicks: Stevie Nicks. It is possible to discard the rhyming word (Nicks) and use only the other word (Stevie). There is a more detailed explanation here.

So from now on, confuse your family and friends. Use the first sentence of this post at every appropriate opportunity, and act like they are the crazy ones for having no clue.
