The review is good, but the subtitle still pisses me off.

If you are referring to the "carried her weight" thing I don't think that is meant to be a fat joke. Is it?

Hmmm...I'm actually a little disappointed to read this. I think it's great that Stevie is getting tons of applause and recognition as well as good reviews, but if I'm gonna be seeing Stevie and Don, then I want them both to be great, ya know?!

I don't think it was a fat joke at all.

Well how many artists are really going to seem great standing next to Stevie Nicks? Not many performers can hold a candle to her... she has some power over her audience or something.

I hope he did. They may have had some kind of mutual agreement to share the spotlight equally since I never noticed Stevie wearing any shig guards over her pantyhose.

That is the exact impression I had of the show in Philly. Stevie really stole the show...although not intentionally. She is just fantastic. She tried with Don but he was sort of unresponsive to some degree. I mean he did respond SOME but not much, IMHO. He wouldnt even look at her while they were singing to each other. It was bizarre but I still enjoyed the show immensely.

(cause of Stevie.... )

Do you think Stevie purposely chose to share a bill with the most boring person possible, to make herself look as good as possible

perrr don henley....perrr perrr don henley.
I'm pretty sure Lindsey still isn't over that....hence the hot black pants now that he isn't on stage with her!!!

ITA, this exactly how I saw it in Philly. I mean he still sounds good; they sound good together, but as far as interacting together, there's nothing there. I was there, too, to support Stevie. I felt bad for her though b/c of how he was acting.

I've never seen the Eagles perform. Does he act like this when he's with the other Eagles?

Thanks for posting the review, btw.

Lee

I went to a Don Henley benefit show in Phoenix back in March of '97, as Stevie was a special guest. During his set, people starting screaming "Stevie" after every song and he got really irritated. Can't say I really blame him. So when he introduced her, he said something like "here's what you came to hear."

Perhaps the same thing is going on here. He is realizing that the majority of people are coming to see Stevie and it's bugging him. Add to that the fact that he's already demonstrated that he's not into the tour, as he went on record saying he would scrap it to go in the recording studio with the Eagles.
