But, it is just fine & dandy when Lindsey does it?

It's a problem inherent to the instrument itself, it ISN'T a "technique" problem. If you hear it, it can't be avoided. Trust me, I've been playing the damned instrument for 38 years.

I wonder if Stevie is aware of how much her fans adore Silver Girl

Let's face it, those albums do not showcase Stevie's strengths as a singer/songwriter, but hey, she was coked out of her mind in one and zombied out in the other. I forgive her. And yes, I concede that there are a few good songs on those albums, but not many .
Pardon me? I love RAL and SA. SA is one of my favorites!!! The only songs I don't hate but don't love are:

Leather and Lace
Thousand Days
Silver Girl

Those are the ones I hit the skip button for. I really like almost everything she's done.

And just for you, I read it in The Enquirer today:

OMG...and Ooh My Love? You are not a Chiffonie.

Actually, the bylaws of Chiffon Headism allow that every member may safely not like 10 Stevie songs. Therefore, I qualify. And, may I add, I had to work to think up some songs I didn't like!
Good Day, see you at the meetings.

I just heard this song for the first time the other day, and I have to say I absolutely agree.

I know. If only it had been promoted better, it would have put Nyquil out of business.

I've never noticed that noise on any of Lindsey's recordings. In any case, whether the problem is with the player or the instrument, that sound should never have made it on the final recording. Just my opinion.
