That is not really true. For TISL, she played six new songs (Sorcerer, TFFT, Everyday, POTU, FFG, and BS) and they played many for SYW, though LB got most I think (Come, WTTCT, and PK) shrug: So, it is a little disingenuous to call her an oldies act in those shows. Plus, for Enchanted, she hauled out things she had never played live before - so that was hardly an oldies show in the sense that an oldies show implies a GH tour, which incidentally and ironically, Enchanted sort of was promoting.

Note - I am probably forgeting some new songs above, but that is the gist of it.

I know - and - I would not blame her as she has given up YEARS of her life and never really settled down for a year just to kick back and enjoy it. I mean she has toured essentially every other year since like 1973 and when not touring, she might take a few weeks off, but it is right back into the studio after that. So, as sad as it will make me to see it happen, if it indeed does, I wish her all the best.

Well, I don't see an album for at least a few years, but I am sure we will get one eventually. I've read a few articles lately that said she was planning on taking the year off but then decided to do Vegas and a couple mini tours. I just assumed that the "year off" thing meant a year off from working in the studio. Besides, as recently as last year she said she would be making music and performing even if she is up there in a walker! Unless she has met someone that she wants to settle down with or had a major change of heart I don't think she is calling it quits.

You could say I am in denial but it just doesn't make sense to me. I would say that if she is retiring from anything it would be from world-touring, just because she mentioned how working in Vegas was cool because she didn't like traveling that much at her age. Still, her two tours haven't even started yet. I think it is jumping the gun to say she is packing it in. But nothing tells me that she is retiring from studio work, I just think she is taking a break.

I love FM but other than a few songs on my list with Lindsey, I prefer Stevie solo. She has more energy and rocks it more when she's on her own. With Lindsey or with FM, she's stiffer and doesn't look as comfortable or self-assured. Not since the early days. I think Lindsey holds her back in some ways.

I love their voices together on BC or his guitar on a few songs, but that's it.

If she is an oldies act (I don't consider touring with a new album an oldies act though, and Vegas was just a special event), I am kind of glad because I never got to see her perform back in the day when these songs were brand new.

I would bet that we see a Stevie album before we see a Lindsey album though.

Maybe Lindsey doesn't like Stevie's stage antics (twirling, etc.) or speaking in tongues, and Stevie doesn't want Lindsey to see who she really is. That would kind of explain (If the rumours are true and Lindsey was at the Tues/Wed show in Vegas) why she was so much crazier the last couple days of the Dreams Vegas set.

I will not let you talk about "Every Day" like that in front of me!

And I figured with POTU, they were going for a certain sound that was dramatically different from the demo version. I think they pulled that off. If you prefer the other style, that's not really the producer's fault, is it?

I've always considered "Fall From Grace" to be over-produced or overly something that I cannot describe. Same with "Trouble in Shangi-La," but I still love it.

SYW was her first "world tour" in 15 years.

See, I love all those songs. The only song I don't like on the album is "It's Only Love".

Oh boy...

I guess what I mean is that I don't see her doing any huge, grand tours anymore.

I don't see her touring very much at all after this year, so there you go. She doesn't have the energy or, from what I see, the will to do it for much longer.

Well, she's touring without promoting a thing....and that's weird to me. She's never done that (Well, Pondering the Millenium....but that was for a special time). To me, it seems like it might be her last grand hurrah before settling down into a permanent residence, like Vegas....but I don't see her doing Vegas for a year or two, either.
